I'd heard the name before, but never seen her perform. Bloody hell, what a load of rubbish, I kept willing it to end.

Oh, so no excuse then

She was due to appear in a pub/club near us but it mysteriously caught fire......I'm saying nothing!

She's got a much better voice than Emma Bunton.

Pixie actually auditioned for Britannia High, and you can see some of the clips on Youtube. She looks like a totally different person with a dowdy hairstyle and very ordinary clothes. She has clearly been styled and groomed within an inch of her life by her management before launching a solo career.

She has an awful way of singing. Really unpleasant to listen to.

All that warbling made me turn the sound off. Perhaps I am weird but I do like to be able to hear the lyrics when someone is singing. Without that you don't have a clue what the song is about, she could have been lamenting about breaking a piss pot for all I could tell.

I watched Jayne and Chris dance with the sound off.

I don't understand why does this programme needs to literally wheel out a current vapid pop star. Aren't Jayne and Chris the big enough stars for this show?

I had no particular opinion of her before seeing her on DOI but she certainly made a horrible noise.

Part of the current fashion for singing as if you have a thick cold which I find really unpleasant to listen to.

I once heard 'Road Rage' on the radio and at the end the DJ said 'Cerys Matthews sounds like a little old witch on that track!' and Duffy has the same effect on me - also a very mannered style of singing.

Of course the chances of me being paid to sing on DOI are nil but one of the beauties of DS is that everyone can be a critic!

The singing was painful, but I thought she looked quite lovely, very Brigitte Bardot - move over Holly and Emily! BUT, I couldn't bear to look at her ears, those earrings she had on were so heavy, you could see the strain on the poor old lobes - eye-watering! No wonder she was wailing!

Another overhyped missy, whose career was born out of one 'hit' single. They must have had her on at a bargain-basement price as she was forced to perform twice. She was out of tune, what can I say, I'm uninspired.

Never heard her before but had to turn the sound down! Sounded as though she was wailing in pain to me.

Thank goodness I had recorded DOI as I was able to FF through that awful singer and T&D's very samey performances.
Why can't we see more of the young professionals skating in pairs or on their own?

Makes you wonder just who buys her records then, there must be a lot of tone deaf people about

The earrings were the best bit of her whole performance for me. Between them and the necklace Jayne was wearing I had a serious case of jewellery lust.

I have to say I really didn't like her voice at all; the Kings of Leon cover turned an uplifting track into a wail-fest and Cry Me Out was frankly laughable. The producers of her record must have been well paid.

She made my ears bleed, she was so awful.

Yes, listening to Pixie singing was certainly painful. I think she must have had a cold or a bad throat on this occasion because I've heard her sing live before and she sounded much better than she did on DOI. Also I thought she murdered the Kings of Leon song - it was really awful.

I thought she was awful when she started singing but I thought she would warm up after a few notes, but NO she actually got worse, so disappointing because I like her

I buy her records and I'm not tone deaf so I have defied your reasoning there.

3 hit singles including 2 no. 1's and a platinum selling album. She was very much in tune and you are probably inspired by singers who feel the music with so much emotion pouring out of their soul and into the microphone - even though they are a whole tone out and actually can't sing at all.

Well she is on antibiotics for a poorly throat so that's why she probably didn't sound her best - I still thought she was excellent though

Like some earlier contributors, I had heard of her name but had no idea of what she sounded like. Listened to about 1 minute and then just had to fast forward it.

The type that may sound good from the studio, but crap when singing live. I went & made a cuppa whilst she was on! Not my kinda thing...

In years past, singers actually earned the money they were paid. Now, screaming words that sound like gibberish constitutes "talent." DOI had a winner with Bette Midler last year. Why not try to find other people that can actually sing?
