who do u think has been overmarked? or undermarked?

kieron was undermarked
so was emily hers was better than 3s.
daniella was undermarked last week and the 3.5 this week should have been a 4.

hayley was overmarked...her routine wasnt that good, and sorry but they fell no matter if they say its his fault they fell end of. and everyone knows the headbanger is an overglamourised move.
heather was overmarked..where was her actual skating!!

Undermarked - Kieron and Mikey
Overmarked - no-one springs to mind but Nicky was being very generous last night after his previous Mr Stingy act - whereas Karen was in a harsh mood, for her!

I feel that Gary and Danny were fairly marked in their execution of their moves, their performance and skating. Kieron, I feel was almost marked on the money, maybe an extra 0.5 from someone as a reflection of the improvement and a fairer mark compared to last weeks low 1.

Mikey however was very unfairly marked. He had a wobble and his routine and skating etc was not as good as last week, but even before Hayley's fall, he had been 1 of the best of the night. He should have been in around Danny's mark of 17.0. Hillary was the worst man on the night but didn't get a fair mark to show his slow improvement, due to Mikey's low mark, he also had to receive his mark lower than he should have. He was worth a 12.0 but that would have given the impression that he was just slightly worse than Mikey.

Heather was fairly marked as she had to be treated as an able-bodied person, Daniella I feel was also nearly marked on the money. She should have been better marked to show the quality of the routine and because of Hayley's fall, should have topped the board. Even if Hayley hadn't fallen I feel the 2 girls were equal and the marks should have reflected that, both girls same mark. How can the judges justify a performer falling and getting a higher mark than someone who gave a flawless routine, especially when Mikey's wobble is also brought into the mix.

Emily is amother I feel was fairly marked tho' how anyone can say that Heather, Emily and Mikey were all the same level is beyond me. Emily played "holding on ice" and Mikey and Heather tried. Mikey who solo skated wasn't his usual self yet is deemed as good as those 2. And he despite a slight muck-up finds himself getting 2 2.5's which mean in the eyes of Emma and Robin he is weaker than Emily!!!!

Sharron was fairly marked with a rise in marks to reflect the improvement, however she was not better than Mikey yet was ahead of him on the board, thus emphathising the stupidity of some of last nights marks. If he was a 15.0 then those who went after should have marked accordingly, with noone being above him. And I also include Hayley in that bracket. She was delivering a good routine prior to her fall which means she was better that Mikey on the night, however her fall should have meant she be penalised as much as him. If he lost 3.5 for the wobble and a weaker performance then she too should have been punished. Karen said she took a .5 off for the fall, so did mikey lose 1.0 for his 2 mistakes, taking him from 20.5 to 16.5? Why then is he a further 1.5 below that? She should have lost 5 .5s, giving her a mark in the 18-19 bracket, a fairer mark.

I knew the judges had favourites and last night showed that, Mikey does a bit wrong and is shot down, Daniella is perfect yet she cant dislodge the act who falls...

On another note, how flat was last night? The best didn't perform to the best of their ability, another shock contender in the bottom 2 (Sharron or Hillary should be there), sound men stop the music mid-performance, the guest singer sings awful and Jason isn't his usual acerbic self. There wasn't much improvemnt from last week and the marking just topped it all off with Hayley not really punished as she's the fave of the judges.

Sorry for the reeeaaalllyyy long post, just irked by it all.

P.S. Come on Kieron, you didn't deserve to be there, you stayed, so shove it down their throats and prove that there are others who HAVE to go before you.

I agree on you with most things here (last week Robin gave Emily a three, and Mikey a 3.5 for a vastly superior routine - this week Mikey is below Emily for a slight wobble, whereas Emily regardless of her improvement still skated quite tentatively).

I can see what you are saying about Hayley. However, if the fall was due to the professional (and it did look like it), why should she be punished for it. Generally, I always thought if the professional makes the mistake (same in SCD), the celebrity should not be punished. Actually, I was rather impressed that Hayley did the headbanger after that and that she was still able to perform everything so well. She was clearly in shock after the performance.

I do feel this year that they are being a lot harsher with the marking. I think they have a standard each week (rising) and people are marked against that. So even if people are improving (Keiron) their scores can decrease.
They also seem to be focussing a lot more on the technical skating aspects. It used to be a lot more about performance but this series they want good skating skills, good dance as well as good performance.

I thought I would prefer this as in previous years I thought they struggled closer to the end as so many people were getting very high marks.

I'm actually not enjoying it as much. I am fed up of nearly everyone getting 15-18 points. It would be better if they changed the marking system to 10ths out of 6 instead of just halves. That way they can better differentiate. Much better to have 3 people on 3.5, 3.6 and 3.4 out of 6 instead of all on 3.5. It's not like they have to mimic real ice dance competitions cos they don't mark out of 6 any more anyway.

Kieron was undermarked definitely.

Personally I felt that all the boys bar Hilary were undermarked. Had Gary gone later in the evening he would have scored better. Also Danniella was undermarked.

I feel that Kieron is getting a raw deal every week, for some reason he can't seem to please the judges whatever he does and he is undermarked every week.

Mikey for his slight stumble was harshly marked particularly when Hayley didn't really get marked down for her stumbles after the fall.

Generally I felt that most other people were about right apart from Hayley. IMO she was overmarked, fair enough Dan took the blame for the fall, but after that she was a bit all over the place and certainly should not have took top spot for it. I hate that headbanger it does absolutely nothing for the routine apart from stop/start it. Emily was slightly overmarked also, but only marginally. A couple of backwards crossovers on your own does not mean she can skate solo. She has to prove that more.

Personally I think if the judges aren't careful they are going to end up with a Bonnie/Zoe situation where the public get sick of the favouritism.

Hayley's routine AROUND the mistakes was significantly better than Mikey's. A "perfect" and difficult routine with one mistake caused by the professional deserves a higher mark than an imperfect routine with numerous mistakes caused by the celebrity.

Hayley's mark was a fair one. I suspect she would've been closerto 25 if they hadn't made the mistake.

Not comparing it to Mikeys, but to Danniella's and Hayley made far more mistakes (bar the fall, which is not her fault) than Danniella and on that basis she should not have been top.

I agree - he moves quickly over the ice and I loved the routine - the only thing I can conclude is that there may be some techical issues we are not seeing.

I usually like Daniella's routines but I wasn't blown away by her latest routine and I thought it was slightly overmarked

Emily is always undermarked imho - except last week when she was dreadful.

i don't get what they see in Mikey either - he is usually overmarked imho (except this week when I felt he was under marked).

You think Emily was undermarked 3 for what she did was very generous imho.

I thought Emily was a bag of pants and that putting her on the same level as Mikey, stumbles notwithstanding, was unbelievably wrong. But I seem to be in the minority

This is one thing that annoys me slightly with Emma's judging actually. If there are minor technical issues, I could see the expert judges might legitimately pick up on that. But Emma has said she's marking on style, flair and entertainment, which is fair enough, given she's not a skater. And yet, with Kieron and Brianne, when there was a routine she clearly really enjoyed, she gave it a 3, whereas - on her criterea - i'd have thought it probably deserved a 4 at least. I wish she'd have a bit more confidence to go against the other judges sometimes, when they are being overly picky with a fundamentally good routine. If she's just going to copy the others, there's not much point having her there.

Hayley's routine was miles better than anyone else's .. even with the fall.
The fall wasn't her fault .. it was Dan's and I think she would've got 5's if she hadn't fallen so I think she was fairly marked.
Daniella didn't look as comfortable as last week so I was surprised that she got better marks.
Emily was a little overmarked I think ... she did well, but not well enough to warrant those scores.
I always enjoy Keiron's performances .. so I don't quite get why he doesn't score more highly.

The problem is that a lot of the good bits about her routine weren't her doing either.

You can't have it both ways, either you're marked as team or you aren't.

How were they "not her doing"? That would imply that she did nothing. Give an example. Don't use a lift as an example, because she has to work in the lifts.

Daniella's performance was ATROCIOUS, IMO, and I would say far and away Daniella's worst. She was consistently unsteady, wobbled at least twice that I saw, and unlike Hayley she didn't seem to have a CLUE what the atmosphere or performance level should be. She grinned her way through a supposed "tango".

Oh come on, with the best will in the world the headbanger didn't really require much input from Hayley, other than staying still...

We talked about the "good bits" of the routine, which most of us don't class the headbanger as.

Furthermore, see Roxanne Pallett for what happens when the girl doesn't do her part in the headbanger.

I get annoyed when the judges lower their marks "because it wasnt as good as the person before you."

It just means that the earlier you go on the better chances of good marks imo.

Judging all over the place this week.

Can't believe Robin gave Hilary & Mikey the same score & said that Emily was better than Mikey too.

Hayley overmarked but i don't think that will do her any favours - judging by a lot of the comments on here she is well & truly regarded as Teachers pet.
