Robin = Boring

Robin Cousins was a Gold European Champion so therefore must have picked up knowledge on the way. He is the most qualified on the panel and therefore his remarks should be the benchmark and if Bunton and Gardiner disagree it just proves how little they really know. Nicky and Karen skated competitively and I could be very wrong but I don't think they actually achieved what Robin did. He certainly wasn't "boring" on the ice - and that he what he is paid to comment on.

What does Jason Gardiner know about skating - absolutely nothing! Emma Bunton - the same. So what these two are doing commenting about ice skating beats me.

Precisely.

Robin's name and accomplishments add a lot of weight to the panel's opinions, but I'm afraid that being a great skater doesn't make him a great TV personality.

Until I saw them on DOI Friday the other week I'd have said the same about Torvill and Dean. Nice enough and all that, but no real spark in front of the cameras until they step onto the ice.

And as for the whole Mikey controversy, it has really irritated me that Hayley was forgiven her mistake and Mikey was heavily penalised for his. I can't believe there was so much difference in the starting scores that a 6-point gap opened up after both made mistakes.
