Humax loss of channels when recording
Hi
I have just changed from Sky+ to Freesat with a Humax PVR. All went well with the installation except, each time I make a recording I lose many channels. Not always the same ones. When I press Menu the Satalite option is greyed out and is the Diagnostics option. I have two feeds from the LNB Can ayone give me any guidance, is the box faulty or is the LNB at fault. Steve |

Diagnostics is not available while the box is recording.
First check you have the two cables connected to the right connections (The 2 outer ones). IF wrong put right and do a factory reset, check you get the two cables found message during the reset. After the reset check diagnostics shows a good signal and quality on both tuners. If you have only 1 signal swap the infeeds to comfirm it's a cable/lnb problem rather than the box. |

welcome to the forum 2479steve
as Graham says try a factory reset. I'm betting in your eagerness to try the box out you connected just the one sat feed and then set the box up only to add the second feed later..

Thanks Gaseous,
Before doing a reset. I did a test that was in an earilier thread to somebody else. It suggested to try recording Ch 104 and veiwing 137 as these are on the opposite polarities. I tried this and it wouldn't allow me to veiw 137. I'm not sure what this tells me, any help please Thanks Steve |

The best test is to tune to BBC HD (108) and set the box to record manually then tune to BBC CI (951) again set a manual recording and then tune to anyother channel and see if you can pause the live playback. |
