I think this is the best series so far.I usually prefer SCD but didn't enjoy last years as much as i normally do.I didn't like the SCD celeb line-up very much but it's the opposite in DOI this year.Mikey's my fave & i also like Daniella,Danny,Gary & Keiron.
I do agree about the ad breaks.Far too many & it's abit stupid when you only get 2 or 3 judges comments.

The viewing figures are falling because we've seen it all before. It'll probably only last another 2 series at best.

I'm enjoying this series like all the others.

Maybe its because we record it and skip all the breaks.

I agree............the best of these type of shows have a shelf life......... and the more its repeated, the more watered down it is in people's interest. It was at its best and peak in DOI 3 ... that tense stand off between Suzanne and Chris Fountain was the best final ever.

This year, its even a case of spot the outfit and match it to previous years contestants... they are re hashing the outfits at a rapid rate this year, except for Sharons attire... don't think any of us can remember a previous wearer of the swimsuit !!

Surely most of the cast of Emmerale have been gone through at this stage unless Edna caves in and does it next year, complete with hat. Remains to be seen.

Personally I think there are too many ad breaks, it's on for far too long and it's always so flipping serious. There never seems to be any lightheartedness. It's all doom, gloom and how hard everyone is finding it. Or so it seems anyway.

If I didn't Sky+ it there's no way I'd sit through it live, and I feel like after watching every series I'm only watching it out of habit anyway. If I missed it one week I wouldn't be heartbroken.

I thought the Friday prog would help, a little how ITT does with SCD, but no, that's all 'ooh, it's so hard' as well.

I don't think the viewing figures are that bad - they are comparable with Strictly figures. Compared to the poor figures for So You think You Can Dance, the DOI figures are respectable.

I do think there are too many advert breaks & it goes on a bit too long but that's par for the course on ITV nowadays. It's the same for the X Factor but yet they don't get slated for it & viewing figures have increased.

I am really enjoying this series, much more than last year. The only contestant I really warmed to last year was Donal. This year I really like Mikey, Daniella & Kieron and quite like Gary, Danny, Sharron & Emily. I find Hayley a little irritating but she's OK, certainly nowhere near as annoying as last year's irritants Zoe & the god awful Coleen. I thought I would really dislike heather but thought she was OK too.

I prefer that there is more competition this year in comparison to last year's predictable outcome. Agree that this year's contestants are not yet in the same league as the likes of Kyran, Clare, Suzanne, Chris & Ray. But that may come yet - Kyran & Suzanne were good but not outstanding in their first few weeks.

I do think Series 2 & 3 were the best so far though - good competition especially between the top 2 but backed up by other good skaters like Duncan, Lisa, Zaraah & Gareth.

It's too long, too many ad breaks, too much padding, too much faffing around, awful judging and comments, irritating screaming and yelling from the audience, the celebrity always seems to be struggling, miserable, worried, taking on a 'dangerous move which can go horribly wrong', and no one is exciting enough to make me want to watch it live. I struggled through the first couple, then there was an endurance test in the third week at which point I gave up.

I've since been watching elsewhere, the whole show can be watched in about 30 mins without the rubbish and infill.

I haven't seen So You Think You Can Dance beyond a few minutes of the first one, and about 10 mins of one of the later eps. I've come to the conclusion that I'm not interested in watching young, fit and pro dancers like that - I'll leave that show to the dance fans who try to make Strictly into a serious competition.

I still enjoy the show but it does seem to be similar each year. The routines and music seem similar to other years. When they show training footage someone will have to go for speed and ballet training etc. I am not sure if the celebrity skating is the quality of other years apart from a couple of people. Perhaps its me it is still early in the series and we were spoilt last year by Ray Quinn.

I love seeing a live pantomime - but it doesn't translate to television. Perhaps that is why it is not attracting as many viewers The programme has too many advert breaks, is noisy and over-hyped and as for those toothpaste adverts if I never see one again it will be too soon, Its downfall will ultimately be when the viewers will switch off because they have had more of enough of arrogant pantomime dames being rude to celebrities, Philip Schofield's noise levels and a format which is now past its sell by date.

Way too much padding, I dont care if Gary Lucys friends or daughter are 100% behind him

Too many ads, too long, and too repetitive. I think perhaps we've seen it all before, and there's really only so much amateurs can do on the ice. Even with previous series I've always had to wait until the last 5 people to get really interested. It suffers in comparison to SCD for me because there simply isn't enough variation in styles on the ice.

I must admit I am not liking the BGT style of audience noise this year. It seems that every show we have now, the audience get into a frenzy of booing, cheering etc. For me, it really detracts from the programme.

Also the X Factor style VT's are far too long and seem designed to up the drama about the difficulty, if we don't get this right, someone having an injury putting the routine in jeopardy, as in the yearly case of sore throat in X Factor. On and on, it just detracts from the skating.

Also Emma Bunton is getting on me baps big time. She has too much to say and most of it unoriginal. I record the programme and fast forward her now. I would actually rather listen to Jason and that is saying rather a lot.

Don't watch it then..........

The show has been drawn out much longer than before (even last year the programmes started later and ran for less time) and it's been placed in a less family-friendly slot (particularly the results). In it's prime (Chris/Suzanne year) it was aired from around 6pm-7.30pm with results at 8.30pm. Now the main show doesn't end until 8.30pm meaning that results doesn't air until 10pm. It's ridiculously drawn out and ridiculously scheduled for a Sunday evening IMO - and that's hurting the ratings.

I don't watch all of it, much as I would lime to. I fast forward the crap and watch the dancing and some of the more constructive commentary.

I don't ,ike the audience racket, the judges attitudes, all the breaks, the shouting presentation or the costumes they are putting people in this year, in particular Sharrons' swimming cossie style. I now watch it on catch up so I can fast forward through most of it.

Gave up watching it this year. Audience, celebs I haven't heard of, the misrable dizzy blonde girl and the miserable he-she from Hollyoaks make it a very dull prog to watch.

The viewing figures will be low, its got shout a lot presenting it, with a load of non entities youve barely heard of skating/dancing that slow , that if they went any slower theyd be stood still. When you have to have a 'spice girl' on the judging panel , then you know full well its time to jack it in. Even the Albert Steptoe impersonator looks bored shitless with it all.

Its just threabare , even the rubbish skaters arent funny. Just time to wrap it up & find another vehicle for Philip The Shouter to foghorn his way through. Maybe they should pair him up with Davina McCall & have some kind of show based at John O Groats & Lands End as they certainly would need mics.

I hate the constant advert breaks, the shouting and booing of the audience, they all sound drunk to me!! I dislike the videos of the rehearsals as they spoil the performance for me and I am bored with these pampered stars constantly complaining about the pain and accidents they go thru. They all seem to have broken ribs, knees etc but still manage to skate. The contestants are rather boring this year and I got very tired of Heather and her non-stop complaining about her leg, her problems with her false leg, her balance problems, her other knee problem and the constant harping on about broken ribs etc. Hey guys, if the whole thing is such an ordeal, don't bother. After all they are all making mega bucks for appearing on the show. I am glad that Mikey does not go on and on and on about Stephen......

I agree! All the nonsense about him dressing up as a fat woman. What on earth was that all about. He is such a bland person I think it is hard to inject any kind of personality in him. I think a major problem this year is that nobody cares who actually wins!! The outfits are ridiculous with Sharron and her swimsuit outfirts each week and that other Soap Opera guy, I have never heard of, looking like a piece of candy each week!! God Help Us!!!! I cannot stand Emma Baby Spice and what is it with her and reality shows. Strictly Come Dancing and now Dancing on Ice. I remember how in love with her the judges were on Strictly although the public were not impressed with her performance and she was soon voted off the show.

I think it's like a friend of mine said yesterday.... we have really seen it all before
and it's all become much of a muchness and even the judges sound the same!

Far too many adverts too... we prefer to record it and whizz through the ad breaks!

Phillip Scofied is too shouty and loves himself too much and is so irritating with
".... to be announced after the break" - I turn him down now as it's so annoying!!

I only watch it on catch-up and even then can take it or leave it. It is hard going because it is too long and drawn out. Fatigue soon sets in. We have seen it all before. If it seems flat, perhaps that is because we are bored. (And yet again, the gorgeous, smiling Andrei - what a dish! - has gone out in about the first week.)

I don't know who most of them are and they seem an exceptionally dull, unentertaining lot of people wearing hideous garb. (The presenters, Philip, Holly, Jayne, Christopher are much better togged out.) Hardly anyone is any good at skating and none comes close to Ray Quinn, who was an absolute joy to watch. I cannot work up any interest in how they did in training and who fell over on which leg.

Can't stand the shouter and even Holly's warmth, charm and beautiful dresses cannot inspire much enthusiasm. Glad that West End musical performer has gone from the judges but I'm afraid I cannot stand Emma Bunton (as a judge - loved her dancing on Strictly). Why must they copy everything Strictly does? It is Alesha Dixon all over again. And why must Emma copy everything Alesha does or says? Same over-confident front, banal comments, mannerisms and arms like tentacles grabbing fellow judges. Leave it out!
And as for the foul Jason Gardiner...unspeakable...get rid pronto!

starts too early for us, also it has clashed with some other programmes ie BB etc. It should be on later but not for so long

I haven't watch all series, I don't particularly like anyone on the show and noone that is on the show would interest me enough to watch. Bad lineup in my view this year.
