The same info about Lucie joining the cast of Les Mis is also posted on the main Musical Theatre News website http://www.musicaltheatrenews.com/les-miserables.html

Has anyone any idea which songs Lucie might sing in the role of Cosette in the show?

Assuming Lucie is taking over the role of Cosette in Les Mis on 21 June, her songs include:

I Saw Him Once – Cosette
In My Life – Cosette, Valjean, Marius, and Éponine
A Heart Full of Love – Marius, Cosette, and Éponine
One Day More – Valjean, Marius, Cosette, Éponine, Enjolras, Javert, Thénardier, Madame Thénardier, and Company
Every Day (Marius and Cosette) – Marius, Cosette, and Valjean
Valjean's Death – Valjean, Fantine, Cosette, Marius, and Éponine

Wow! This will definately keep her in the limelight and hopefully helps with a record deal.
I'm so excited for her. Really hope it comes to Belfast so I can see her

I think so Did you read my first post about it on the previous page (page 62)? The info looks pretty kosher to me! Coach trip to Les Mis in late June anyone?

Hulot you are a magician!
I think you have found the news we're waiting for.
I always thought lucie would find something in musical theatre if not a record deal.
Does anyone know how long the show will carry on?

If anyone wants an idea...its the nearest vocal to opera in the show....

In My Life and A Heart Full of Love . Leanne Dobinson Cosette 2008/9

A heart full of love Katie Hall (Now tour Cosette)

One day more Leanne Dobinson - 30 seconds in, dressed in black.

Every day - Katie Hall

Epilogue( Valjean's death) (gives the end away if you have not seen it) Emily Bull current Eponine - arrives 3-29

Cosette and Eponine also provide the soprano kick at the end of some of the big group songs like one day more and the epilogue and, if you look very carefully , you may see them too in some of the early crowd scenes and as Lovely Ladies (prostitutes) in that scene.

Hahaa, i'm there!! This is brilliant news, I've always wanted to go see Les Mis, now I have some kind of incentive!!

I'm so excited for her! I agree with cfc, I hope people don't complain that it's 'only' theatre! I got the impression yesterday that when she tweeted about the press release and people kept asking if she had been signed, she was disappointed and maybe thinks that her fans will only be bothered if she has a record deal!! if that makes sense

Anyways, Diana Vickers is proof that you can have success in both musical theatre and the charts, so there's absolutely no reason why Lucie can't have success in both!!

Wow, well done Hulot on finding this before it has even been announced. I'm so excited for Lucie, its an amazing opportunity. And its great for all the fans who will have a better chance of seeing Lucie in one venue rather than having to travel all over to catch her.

I think they change the cast quite often on these shows so I wouldn't know how long Lucie may be in it for. I checked the website and you can book ticket all the way up until February 2011.

A lot of fans are wondering what Lucie's press release is going to be about. Would it be spoiling things if someone on twitter tweeted the following link to TeamLloycie or Jade? http://www.musicaltheatrenews.com/les-miserables.html Tell them they need to read the next-to-last paragraph.

Lucie's following you so she'll see your tweet won't she, but I guess it's Lucie's management or PR who'll be putting out the press release rather than Lucie telling us herself – although from what she's said in her tweets she's dying to tell us lol. Musical Theatre News website has been carrying the info about Les Mis since 15 May, so it's hardly a secret or brand new news, is it? Personally I can't see anything wrong with just posting the link and leaving people to read it for themselves – and then sit back and watch the tweetfest

What do cfc86 and claire_louise think?

Interesting – this was posted in WalesOnline on 27 September 2009 http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wa...1466-24789688/
Quote:
“West End musicals guru Cameron Mackintosh was hoping to cast the teenager in the role of Eponine in Les Miserables.

But X Factor commitments have meant Lucie has been unable to audition.”

ilovelucie, Lucie's casting in Les Mis was being discussed on a Les Miserables Forum last Sunday, so the news is already well out there so you won't be breaking any secrets lol http://musicals.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1215167

No need to be confused lol The role of Eponine referred to in that article has gone to Samantha Barks. Maybe Cameron Macintosh changed his mind about which role best suited Lucie when she auditioned – the auditions must have been in April or very early May, seven months after the WalesOnline article, in one of those weeks when Lucie said she was very busy but couldn't say what she was doing.
