Problems with BT's Comtrend PowerLine Adapters and HomePlug Adapters
Hi,
I just thought i'd post my experience with BT's Comtrend PowerLine adapters (and any PowerLine adapters for that matter). Before I ordered Vision I had a network of 6 HomePlug adapters each in different rooms, and it was only until in the evening whilst watching one of the media centre's that I noticed the throughput was so poor. I assumed that the PowerLine adapters could co-exist with HomePlug standard adapters, however it seems that mixing the 2 standards causes a high level of interference on both, and the throughput (on the HomePlugs at least) goes from 6mbps down to ~100kbps. Has anyone else experienced this, as I couldn't find any documented experiences on the internet? Regards Guy |

The Homeplug and Comtrend units use different standards so are incompatible. However you should be able to use the Homeplug units with your Vision box.
