Hi,

I just thought i'd post my experience with BT's Comtrend PowerLine adapters (and any PowerLine adapters for that matter). Before I ordered Vision I had a network of 6 HomePlug adapters each in different rooms, and it was only until in the evening whilst watching one of the media centre's that I noticed the throughput was so poor.

I assumed that the PowerLine adapters could co-exist with HomePlug standard adapters, however it seems that mixing the 2 standards causes a high level of interference on both, and the throughput (on the HomePlugs at least) goes from 6mbps down to ~100kbps.

Has anyone else experienced this, as I couldn't find any documented experiences on the internet?

Regards
Guy

The Homeplug and Comtrend units use different standards so are incompatible. However you should be able to use the Homeplug units with your Vision box.

Yes 85 Mb/s HomePlugs work OK with BT Vision.
