What famous pets do you like? Both fictional and non fictional?

IS your pet named after a famous celebrity or animal?

There must have been a fair few "Bouncers" around after the popularity of Neighbours in the early 90's

My daughter's cat is called Jack Daniels. He had a brother called Bud Weiser and a sister called Stella Artois, but I think they got renamed.

Of course, we only use his full name when he's getting a real telling-off.

My son had a rabbit called Frankenstein...

...he named him after Lister's cat!

Our first dog was called after Benny from crossroads and all the dogs we have had since have been named after characters in our favourite TV show Monarch Of the Glen, Rosie,Katie,Mollie, Duncan etc - we have now run out of characters we can shout on the common though so not sure what we will call our next one.

My beloved cat 'Riki' was named after my favourite american wrestler at the time 'Ricky Morton'.
She died nearly two years ago aged 21 years.
I still miss her so much.
I've still got my three other cats though, Gizmo, Clari and Polly but they're not named after anyone inperticular.

Up until a couple of years ago (when the last two died within a month of each other), we had 5 cats, all of whom were named after someone/thing famous.

Bart (after the Simpson child)
Gizmo (after the Mogwai in the movies)
Joni (after singer/songwriter Joni Mitchell)
Figaro (after Pinnochio's cat) - that got shortened though, and by the time he was about 3, he was just 'Figs'
Frankie (Lister's cat from Red Dwarf - from whom the race of cats came) - Same as Lister's cat, his full name was 'Frankenstein', and also same as Lister, we shortened it to Frankie.

Currently, we have a dog, named after Top-Gear's mystery racing driver 'The Stig'

And previous to him, we had a Labrador, named 'Butch' (From Tom & Jerry)

Some of the cats, and Butch, were named almost 20 years ago by my daughter when she was about 6-8 years old.

We went on a cruise the new year before we got the girls in January. We had a very drubken new years eve where we sang Rhianna's Umbrella-ella-ella through a megaphone! Ella got her name from the song because we got her when we came home.

Effie is named after Effie in dreamgirls, cos she was big, fat and black and I love the movie!

My childhood cat (who is still going at 18) is named Mungojerry (after Cats) but my brother and I added to it, making it Mungo Jarvis Evil Jerry (after Jarvis Cocker and Evil the Cat from Earthworm Jim)!

I now have two male kittens named Charles Hieronymous Pace and Desmond Hume after 2 characters in Lost (my fave TV show). If I get a dog I think I'll call it Sawyer (although am concerned about it sounding the same as Soya ... lol) and we're planning on getting a female siamese in the future and I want to name her Penny.

My dog is called Paul (not names after anyone) but when he was puppy and my bf phoned to register him at the vets, he was asked for the dog's name. He said his name was Paul, and the receptionist was going on for ages saying 'No sir, the name of the dog'.

One of our neighbours has cats called Lister (Catalyst) and Tonic (Catatonic). He also had another one called Clizzie (cataclysmic) I thought they were pretty cool names
