Same old attitude - fine to murder people, but even if you're innocent never talk to the police.

I think they just pluck figures out of thin air. Completely wrong they can say "12m" watched a show (as fact) when the story is written basically as the show airs, hours before ratings are released.

As an EE hater who just watched the live episode hoping it would be as bad as ever, I found myself tuning into the Aftermath afterwards.
I think My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding has now been overtaken as the ratings shock of the year, but back to that and discussions are underway for a spin-off following it's success.

With radio especially the BBC's promotional power is unrivalled - and as much as ITV get criticised for talking about shows like I'm a Celeb in GMTV and This Morning, the BBC do go much further with their self promotion. To be fair though it's been a very good promotional campaign.

I didn't even know Eastenders was 25, I was wondering why the EE bandwagon was continuing with a primetime Weakest Link Special tonight with the EE cast...I thought it was just lazy dumbed down scheduling!

LOL!

166m - that makes the Superbowl look like Popstar to OperaStar!

In the same boat - as a live episode it was much better executed than Corrie's and The Bill before it, though the BBC threw a lot of money at it. What will be interesting is the retention figure on Monday - I certainly won't go back to it, and we pretty much know the fallout in next weeks episodes will be minimal as the killer isn't public knowledge in the square. I know EE do have a track record of inserting scenes at short notice, but from what the exec said on the aftermath show it won't be explicitly referenced immediately.
