Hello,

I am thinking about haveing a Nokia 6100, and I have heard that you add on a camera, on the Nokia attachable cameras are the images any good? Also i have heard that there are two differnet cameras? Whick one is best?

Sorry I have no experience of this 'phone. Why not get an inbuilt one, like on the Nokia 7250i. The pictures taken with this camera are fine for viewing on the camera or for web use. I have not seen one printed off but basically it is just meant as a 'fun camera'.

The nokia 7250i is a bit expensive.

I have seen some pictues taken on the Nokia 6100 and though that they were pretty bad compared to others that i have seen

The quality in general, colours not too bright, small screen, having to lug the camera attachment around with you, i agree with wicket get an inbuilt one, that's what i prefere

Do the images on the clip on cameras look blurred if you move?

To be honest - my Nokia 7250i is ok for just pics at the pub, or just messing around photos!

If you want to print them or enlarge them even slightly, the quality is really poor. Thats why you have a camera to take pics, and a phone to make phone calls! Lol!

My Bro's Sony Ericsson T610 is far better!

Andy.

I think that depends on what phone, wether it be a clip on camera or an inbuilt one, as on My Sharp GX10i they can blur if you move too quick

But someone I know said don't have a nokia because some of them look blurred when you move, is this tue.
Also about enlarging the photos (by sending it via e-mail to your pc), if you have a good photo application like Microsoft Picture It Express 97, it enlarges quite good from copy and paste on pictures from the Internet, would it enlarge photos quite good taken from nokia cameras?

All cameras look blurred when you move. With phone cameras i find they all do that, the slightest movement.

I would waitia little longer and get a newer phone with a better camera. Anyway, the cost of the clip-on + the phone will equal the same price as one with a built in camera.

If you are really bothered about all this enlarging and stuff.. use a digital camera!

But is it possible to stay still so that it won't look blurred when you take the picture?

The pictures will be fine for the phone only- if you want to print them you need at least VGA quality and even then its not great. Phones with VGA cameras include Sony Ericsson P800, 900 and new K700. The megapixel phones are even better quality and will be fine to print. the Sony Ericsson S700 will have a 1.3 megapixel camera with all of Sony's digital Camera knowledge built it, something none of the other phone manufatures have.

On the phones is the picture Quality good enough on the Nokia 3100 camera attachment (not fun camera) to see the pictures, or send them to another phone?

Has anybody got the normal camera, not the fun camera? What is the differnce between the original camera nd the fun camera?

On the phone screen you can not tell, maybe try searching google for an answer.

Generally I would stay away from Nokia camera phones!!!

Generally I would stay away from ALL camera phones!

You can get a digital camera for much less than a camera phone, which will give much better pics.

As well as my 2 decent digital cameras (6mp Nikon & a 3mp Kodak) I also have 2 'fun' cameras
A Bell & howell which cost £20 in Tesco & gives a res of 640 x 480
and a L'espion Mini which cost £15 & gives a res of 320 x 252

Most camera phones are only as good as my cheapest 'fun' cam, and very few (the most expensive ones) are better than the Bell & Howell.
The latest Nokia 7610 has a 1mp camera, but will cost you £250-£300. A 1mp 'proper' camera will cost less than £50 by comparison - is it worth the extra £200 to have it attached to a phone? Only if you're a phone 'poseur' with more money than sense maybe.

If you want decent pics, forget camera phones for now & get a decent proper camera.
Camera phones will eventually offer decent resolution at a reasonable price - but not for a good while yet!
