Plus Roxy seems to provide work for half the Square right now!

Chelsea, Christian, Shirley, Tracey, Peggy, Phil, herself and I'm sure Danny helps out now as well behind the bar! It's so obvious she's going to run that place into the ground!

i love the corrie version of this thread but this is so hard and annoying to read because of the stupid people here who have to argue at every opportunity.”

LOL, you've answered your own question, this is an EastEnders thread not a Corrie one!

I was thinking that myself about the snow excuse, one of the silliest lines in this ep as well as Minty being so delusional, but you know what they say "live in hope, die in despair".

My one question is, as usual, where and the hell is the money coming from?? In this case, Ronnie bidding for Booty's, I thought she lost it after posting Sam's bail?? Did the money fairy leave some under her pillow again?? I really do get fed up with all the soaps, not just EE, conjuring up fake money all the time, it really does begger belief!! Is Ronnie even working at the moment, perhaps a job sucking lemons somewhere!! Come to think of it, how is Phil keeping body and soul (and Ben) together, didn't any cash he get from selling the Arches go to pay off the loan shark? While I'm whinging about money, isn't the car lot a huge joke now, I mean, I know selling cars isn't rocket science, but you still need start up cash to buy half decent motors and of course, know what it is you are actually buying and what to resell it for, so how in heaven's name could that place support Max and his family and pay his rent, apart from the fact there is only space for 2 cars and maybe a pram on that lot!!

One other thing, did Minty say (or was it Heather) that Phil was Shirley's boss, surely (I know, don't call me surely) he has nothing to do with the Vic now so can't bark orders at her anymore!

Ok, rant over, got to make a cup of tea now.

Who the hell starts renovating a garden in the middle of the winter anyway? Doesn't the snow blanket and the frozen ground make such work a bit 'inconvenient'?
Were they going to plant plastic plants, because no living plant would survive in those conditions if it's been freshly planted.

the bunny boiling in the microwave - it still had the tinfoil on so would create sparks but there were none. Plus the metal bell

Familiarity breedth contempt me thinks....! I thought Billy worked on the market stall now though and had a house given to him by Archie - that is until Phil bullied him out of it lately....thug!

Heather asking Billy to move in as she cant afford the rent on her own. Being a single mother with a baby, she would be entitled to Housing Benefit, wouldn,t she? Also, why isn,t she still on maternity leave?

She'd probably be entitled to money to help cover the cost of a two bedroomed flat, but that place has got, what, five or six bedrooms? Like everywhere else on Albert Square.

The lack of professional kitchen and/or cook in the Vic is my favourite suspension of reality, especially as everyones always popping in there for lunch.

Also, how does Whitney make enough money to keep a stall just by selling t-shirts? And how come she isn't always up to her elbows in design/print equipment?

How do any of the market stalls make money? Especially that tiny fruit and veg stall. What a crap job it must be working on it, and having to set it up every morning, even at one point they had Liz Turner working on it, as if a woman of her age could do a job like that.

The rents in Eastenders are ludicrous, everyone was making a fuss when Billy had to pay a grand a month for a 4 bed house?!! Thats cheap!

I thought Ian had negotiated to do the food in the Vic more than once, excuse for him and Phil/Peggy to argue about something.
It's just a hot plate type thing they have in Canteens and Big Cafes, cooked off site and kept warm.
Then again you never see anyone deliver it, until it's time for a Beale/Mitchell argument and the writers remember it's there.

I thought Whitney had farmed out the printing of her designs?
That's a storyline that seems to have died too, her design work is never mentioned.

What's Max doing for money, who's running the car lot and once 'thriving' Mini-cab business?
I'm assuming the mini-cab business was once thriving due to the amount of fuss people (Janine, Darren) make about it when the script requires it.

It's called passing trade they're near to a Tube station.
Well there are lots of people working on Market stalls, even at Liz's age.
The traders usually help each other push the carts in and out.
The younger traders would probably help her get some of the fruit out of the van, onto the road/pavement then let her finish setting up.
They store fruit and veg in the Alley next to the Vic, well they used to.

It's amazing how all the punters just tow the party line 'Peggy has spoken...'
She must have a MIB memory eraser.

Bold: And used it on all the writers

She also appears to have used it on half the square.

Masood should still be mad at Max for trying to con thousands of pounds out of him. Instead he kept a parcel for him so he wouldn“t have to go down the sorting office to get it.

Bradley forgave Max pretty quick for his affair with Stacey. They were best buds by the end.

I could keep going....

Now you've mentioned the Max con thing.
Zenny should really be using every possible opportunity to beat every member of the Branning/Jackson clan over the head about it, in that really annoying, holier than thou/dog with a bone habit she has.

Well she did tell Ricky that Bianca cheated on him right before their wedding (if only she“d known what her little boy was up to when Ricky proposed on NYE).

And Masood accidently settled the score by almost killing Rachel in a car crash (and got away with it).

All“s fair in love and war, right? EE works in mysterious ways...

This thread is still tops by a long distance! I like the fact that members of the cast who are feeling frisky at any given time suddenly decide to go off and "make love" whilst in the middle of washing up! Cue Janine and Ryan yesterday.....

True, variety is the spice of life and all that. I don't know how any bloke would get a boner with Janine on the other side of the pillow though - and especially when in between doing the dishes....! - far more important
