So I know some of these have been said before but recently these have got to me -

Carol - Her relationship with her brothers seeming to develop out of nowhere, when was the last time Jack or Max mentioned Carol?!

Jack - Um, where's the rest of the Branning siblings and co.? Not only did they not turn up for Bradley's funeral, but now their own brother is in hospital fighting for his life, and they're nowhere to be seen.

The 'gardens' - And the residents sudden out of character Lemming like obsession with revamping it. At one point even paying out of their own money was better than waiting for the council and now suddenly it seems they are back to no longer caring...unless I missed something.

The 'innit' crew - Actually holding up a pub they'd spent hours of time in blatently not fitting in and looking conspicuous. The fact that they'd really risk being identified! The fact that half the people sitting in it at the time it was being 'held up' had known Billie since he was a young boy! Even his own mother was there!

Danny - Out of nowhere, nobody has questioned him - how about a birth certificate? Childhood photos? DNA test? This is the supposed child of the mother they hadn't seen since they were teens...wouldn't they want some kind of proof before letting him into their home, especially where there are children...

Owen's mum Liz - Surely she would've called the police by now and reported him missing seeing as he really did just disappear...months ago. Wasn't he close to his mother?

Louise - Phil's daughter that he never really knew, yet all it takes is a couple of interviews and a new house and she is able to just go over and live there forever just like that. Wouldn't social services rather put her with someone on her mum's side - surely Lisa has some family?! Even the guy who was raising her with Lisa would come before Phil or am I wrong?!

I could probably go on forever but I need answers!

It's rather badly written soap you're not going to get random family conversations if what's said isn't related to the story onscreen.

Jack - Um, where's the rest of the Branning siblings and co.? Not only did they not turn up for Bradley's funeral, but now their own brother is in hospital fighting for his life, and they're nowhere to be seen.

Aye, no sightings of Suzy, would provide for some family interaction, fleshing out of characters even if they were only mentioned in passing.
'Saw Suzy at the Hospital, she said...'
Out of sight (Square), out of mind.

The 'gardens' - And the residents sudden out of character Lemming like obsession with revamping it. At one point even paying out of their own money was better than waiting for the council and now suddenly it seems they are back to no longer caring...unless I missed something.

Errm, yes load of old Tut.
Dear Council/Thames Water we have no experience of groundworks and Water systems.
Can we dig up your land and mess with you pipes please?

The 'innit' crew - Actually holding up a pub they'd spent hours of time in blatently not fitting in and looking conspicuous. The fact that they'd really risk being identified! The fact that half the people sitting in it at the time it was being 'held up' had known Billie since he was a young boy! Even his own mother was there!

Apparently someone I knew years ago tried to Rob his local post office, he was known to them, in the Cells before the end of the day.
He's what's known a a 'silly bollox' in London

Danny - Out of nowhere, nobody has questioned him - how about a birth certificate? Childhood photos? DNA test? This is the supposed child of the mother they hadn't seen since they were teens...wouldn't they want some kind of proof before letting him into their home, especially where there are children...

She's their Mum, why would she lie about who the father is.
As for Children been in the house, what's that go to do with anything.
Would you CRB check a distant cousin?

Owen's mum Liz - Surely she would've called the police by now and reported him missing seeing as he really did just disappear...months ago. Wasn't he close to his mother?

Pretty sure she or Libby have already done this, so what?
100's of people go missing a year.

Yes it all got decided a bit quickly and it was a bit soppy.
What instead of placing the child with her Father who wants her and apparently always wanted her, place her with someone else, who doesn't appear to be on the scene?

I could probably go on forever but I need answers!
Filler.

Billie held Phil at gun point to rob the Vic, and now Peggy is giving him a free drink for wanting to join the army?

The amount of times that Stacey has started a fight or been thrown out of the Vic over the years, yet Peggy always manages to conveniently forget it every time.

Max, Stacey, and Bradley as best buds after everything that has happened.

Tanya burying Max alive.

People (particularly those working at the market) going to the caff for cups of tea when they live just two minutes away. It must cost them a fortune. No wonder everyone is skint.

The piles of money (apart from Roxy, of course) that the Mitchells have after being declared bankrupt a few months ago.

The best one is that people like to go to the Vic for lunch. There is no evidence of a chef or a kitchen in the pub. There is that weird hot plate counter in the corner, though.

Everyone seems to buy their clothes at the market, and all their food at the MinuteMart.

Great points! It´s just they´ve ALL already been made. But no harm, no foul

I thought they didn't notify the police at first because he was breaking the terms of his early release by being in the Square in the first place and by not keeping in touch with his parole officer, so by alerting them they might be getting him into trouble, presumably by now the parole officer would have notified the police anyway that he had disappeared, also none of them have any reason to think he has come to any harm, especially after Lucas's little chat with Libby about Owen probably wanting to be on his own.

Roxy's " brother " is going to steel a million £s off her and think he will get away with

My biggest problem is Billie Jackson being allowed back in The Vic after holding Phil at 'gun point' and taking his money.

Also where do Leon and Fatboy come from? Why are they there?

I find it very hard to believe trendy, 'down with the kids' Roxy is computer illiterate.

I'm watching the omnibus at the moment. Yes I also find it hard to believe she doesn't know how to operate a computer. Also when Danny was talking to her about setting up the online banking and deciding on a password Roxy said "Password?" like it was an alien concept. Did she not think she needed a password to keep her banking details secure online

Another EE character who seems to lead a mysterious life is Albert the Boxer dog. I think he was last being "looked after" by Roxy, but haven't seen him recently.

These are not quiet, retiring dogs, so whereabouts in the Vic is he? Does Phil have him locked up? Let's see more of Albert - at least he would have more entertainment value than most of the cast....

Lots in EE, which have prob been mentioned:

The price of the houses on the square. The Slaters, Massoods, Max, Pats house. A victorian style 3 bedroom house in a London Suburb which is less than a minutes walk from a tube station for commuting will cost at least 250K....so how does the Charlie Slater a cabbie afford one, and the debt ridden massoods.

Maybe I have missed something but why has Louise all of a sudden wanted to live with Phil (bearing in mind she does not even know him)....not so long ago she was at the park with her stepfather looking the happy family....and why was she just left on the square on her own to be found from Ronnie...surely Lisa would have taken her into the Vic to ensure she was safe

Why would someone like Janine still live their. She has no friends, no job and most people hate her. You would think with the amount of times she has conned a man into getting her hands on money and the fact she is streetwise she will move abroad somewhere. another note on Janine...Ryan said they have not paid rent for months and if I never paid my rent for months I would be prob be kicked out my flat in the 2nd month of non payment!

I think those houses are rented, apart from Pat,s house( didn,t she get left it by someone?). I agree about Louise suddenly wanting to live with Phil was daft, as she doesn,t even know him. Also, if Janine and Ryan were both unemployed, they would be signing on, wouldn,t they Which means they would have got Housing Benefit to pay their rent, but of course in EE no one ever claims anything like that, they,d rather go around skint

Where exactly are Leon and Fatboy living?

By the way, Andy Hunter left Pat the house in his will when he died in 2005.

You,re right it was Andy Hunter, although Pat just seems like a lodger in that house now.

Maybe Leon and Fatboy live in a neighbouring street with their families. Or are only those who live on the square allowed to walk around the square?

Ridiculous isn't it. Roxy I think is one of the worst written characters in the show, they just seem to continously mature her, then revert her back to being selfish and thick to suit the latest Mitchell storyline.

I found it hilarious that Masood went to fetch a cuppa from the cafe for Zainab round at the flat when he could just as easily bring her a cup from their home, or better still, bring a kettle and tea bags around so that they can have tea whenever they want!

Yeah, I noticed that. In fact, such a point was made of it I wondered whether the writers were having a laugh at themselves.
They have been known to "interact" with the audience/fans in a Doctor Who-esque way...

IIRC Rolly the Poodle was the Producers dog or something.
Might explain why Albert isn't around that much, he doesn't belong to the someone on the staff.

Then again why couldn't we see people nipping out to take Albert for a walk, interacting with other characters, Ben/Abby/Liam earning a bit of pocket money for walking him, training him, etc?
Doesn't have to be a big thing, just a bit of background 5-10 seconding filler here or there.

I don't think you've seen the size of some of the houses Cabbie's own, they're not as skint as they keep telling everyone.
Their house is council anyway IIRC, there was council front door painting storyline at somepoint, involving Big Mo.
In reality Charlie's Cab would probably be rented out to another driver when he's not working anyway.
E15 isn't a suburb either, that's Inner London by anyone's money.

Lisa apparently buggeredoff on holiday and left Louise to her own devices, didn't you think it was a bit odd that she hasn't been seen or mentioned?

I love this thread, it was a crime to see it on page 14 with my having been away for two weeks! Well - I heard the words "Job Centre" being banded around in the show by Bradley on odd occasions, Janine and Ryan have dared to mention the word "unemployed" once or twice too. Going back a bit further in time, Billy was moaning to the Housing Benefit/council people on one occcasion about "filling in a form difficulties" (when attempting to secure things for Honey and Janet) while I think Shirley mentioned the words "housing benefit" to Heather once. Suspension of the reality big time....! The teenagers on here wouldn't know what we're going on about though re mentioning such living off the state sayings....!

I know a few contributions on here are repeats but it's always good to have a refresh of blatantly obvious flaws in the show so keep them coming! It would be boring if EE was perfect all the time, which it rarely is of course! I suppose the Rack and Chyred crowds are so immersed in their own little storylines though that they don't notice such obvious things....hence this thread needs to be occasionally "bumped" to maintain it's interest....
