Thank You for standing up for me The other poster got the wrong end of the stick, I wasn,t critisizing people who claim benefits, we all have to at some time, I suppose. I was pointing out ,why would Heather leave her 4 month old baby to work in a grotty launderette, when she would just be as well off staying at home with him. However thats EE , no none is allowed to sign on or claim benefits, even the oldies have to keep on working well past retirement age, rather than live on their pensions. The most ridiculous example is Dot, a woman nearly 80, who can still do a heavy job like working in a launderette, as well as caring for a disabled hysband and a small child. Another daft example was Liz Turner, when she arrived in the Square, she seemed quite comfortably off, and even owned her own home in Spain, yet as soom as she arrives, she has to go and work on a fruit and veg stall Everyone seems to have to do some demeaning job, as if they are trying to prove something

Kinda on that point, working in a Launderette, that's minimum wage maybe a tiny bit more.
She'd have to do some very long hours to come out with anything at the end of the week.
Who's looking after George btw?
Same with working behind the bar in the Vic.

Sometimes, when a character walks back in to the square from wherever they have been, they say 'could do with a cuppa' so go to the cafe to have one. Why not just go home if they are going that way anyway and are in the square?

The characters who go on and on about how skint they are, are usually the same ones who have breakfast in the cafe regularly, drinks at the vic every night and dinner regularly at the argy bargy!

Another unrealistic thing is Zainab Masood still on her feet working all day in that catering kitchen, when she is about to give birth anyday. The woman is in her forties and overweight , so naturally in the real world , she would be resting at this time. So unrealistic!

I know its not realistic because its just the character but it is just so silly...

There are loads of examples but one that particularly sticks out in my mind is when Peggy wouldnt give Jase a job because of his criminal record. Errrrrr... hello? Your children?

Home is where the heart is. Anyway, that pub is a prime bit of London property - her millions wouldn't stretch far for a similar sized house. And she's always worked in pubs/clubs, she owned one with Ronnie in Ibiza and had a (small!) part share in R&R. Stands to reason she'd stay and run her own East End pub, especially one with such close ties to her dad.

It makes me laugh how couples in soaps split up and make up so many times but as soon as they move away they stay together for years!

That isn't too unrealistic. My mum suffers from a similar illness and she can go from manic and like a different person back to my Mum in 24 hours.

exactly. we should still be seeing signs of her bipolar mood changes. I know she's on the medication now but still...

Sonia interpreting Phil saying 'OK, go upstairs and make yourself some coffee' as 'get naked and wait for me in my bed where I'll shag you because we're both upset about Jamie'.

When Bradley was introduced at the time, he was the only person commuting to work.

It is probably twice a year she has severe manic episodes, which is usually when she has messed her meds up. As long as she takes her medication then she is 'normal' and you wouldn't really know anything was up.

You can't fault them for effort though, they continued this in tonight's episode too. Totally inspired

Wonder what happened to those thigh high boots she bought off Mo, that seemed to centre an entire episode and she no longer wears them? Or was she wearing them today and I just wasn't paying attention ?

Abit of an extension on the 'residents going to pub where unsolved murder has took place, and Ricky and Bianca wanting their reception there'.

I think the fact that they are even getting married, with a fairly big, traditional wedding, when there is an ungoing murder investigation in their very street is abit strange- especially when the sister of the groom is the deceased's fiancee and one of the prime suspects!

Branning & Sons..............I know selling second hand cars isn't rocket science, but fgs, what would an insurance broker and an errand boy (what exactly has Bradley worked at?) know about cars?? I'm sure there is a bit more to it then cleaning out a portacabin and looking at snazzy new computers!! And even if they did know something about selling cars, how on earth could a car lot of what, 2/3 cars, make enough profit to not only support two eejits, but their families as well!! Another thing, why is Max STILL rattling around in that big house, I know Abby is back with him, but even so, how can he afford the rent?? Finally, I still don't get how kids living in seperate homes is a good thing, I never thought it was particularly healthy the blatant favourtism each parent had for their daughters!!

OK, rant over, gonna make a cup of tea now!!

Janine was found not guilty the week after as Danielle was "jaywalking" effectively and was like a frozen rabbit caught in the headlights due to the shock of Ronnie finally believing her! - even though in reality Danielle would've been highly unlikely to have been killed when it is nigh on impossible to drive any faster than 20 mph in Albert Square! Back to the present, it's obvious Janine's been framed for Archie's murder this week - so she's obviously also not the killer!

Yep, I think we'd all be willing to declare ourselves as "bankrupt" if it meant we could carry on living in a nice and spacious, London-priced abode like Max still continues to.....while at the same time seeming to sell no cars whatsoever and sitting in an office with his feet up ever since Branning & Son declared themselves - open??!!
