The amount of times that financial problems have forced the Mitchell's to loose the Vic, only for them to regain it sometimes only a few weeks later.
Loads of young people but not many over 70's knocking around. This wasn't always the case, there did used to be an oldie ensemble but these days EE don't do old it seems. You never see anyone shopping at a supermarket, the mini mart is THE place to get everything. No one has a high wage job yet they can afford to use the laundrette, eat regularly in the caff and spend any other free time in the Vic, which along with the Rovers in Corrie and the Wollie in Emmerdale are doing booming trade whilst the real pub trade is on it's knees in the UK. Every major storyline gets played out in front of a packed Vic. In conclusion though it's got to be said that every program on tv has elements where reality plays no part in the storyline. EE tells some good stories and thats all you need, though it is good fun to point out the moments where Albert Square, or Corrie, Emmerdale etc eschews real life. |

Peggy meeting Danny in the police station in last night's ep and needing to say "Glenda, your mum" as if he doesn't know who his mum or Glenda is.
I know it was for the benefit of the viewers who'd forgotten who Glenda was, but it's not really the way someone would talk is it? She'd either say "your mum" or "Glenda". |

In your opinion. But what has that got to do with the price of fish? It's clear this thread isn't taking off compared to the Corrie one. Soaps aren't supposed to be realistic that's the point but some of the plotholes in Corrie lately have been bordering on the ridiculous hence why that thread is so successful. The purpose of this thread is to discuss suspension of reality i.e. plotholes, you may not like the teens but they're not a suspension of reality. You'll find teens like them in London and in other places too and probably a lot more obnoxious in some cases. There's very few plotholes in EE atm.
The Lucas storyline, he managed to bury a body in the middle of a busy square, granted the hole the council had dug was big enough to bury a double decker bus even though the tree was a slightly large twig. Thank god Patrick and Libby were able to steal the florist's security footage (flower related theft is big in East London). The Peggy storyline, she's being made to feel useless and unwelcome by Roxy, the same Roxy who was taken in by Peggy along with her sister and baby. Even though Archie basically stole the pub from Peggy, it has never crossed Roxy's mind to give Peggy the pub and live happily ever after with her £3 million. Stacey has mental health issues and is grieving but her family think it's best she's left to her own devices for a while. Why don't they call the police for god's sake? Whitney was abused by a member of her extended family but Bianca has no problem with Whitney bedding her Uncle Billy, not against the law I know but come on. All the soaps are as bad as each other. |

Also you should bear in mind that the OP doesn't like EastEnders and only started this thread to be childish and petty. Not to mention the fact he's in his 70s according to his profile, it takes the whole phrase of don't watch if you don't like it to another level as if you're watching something you don't like at that age then you clearly don't value life enough to enjoy what is left of it.

So in the morning you have the bright idea to hold a "Grime Night" in the pub, you have managed to get to the printers and get all your leaflets sorted and delivered back to you by lunchtime...

Well, to be fair the family link between Billie and Whitney is pretty much the same family relationship Ricky and Bianca had ![]() Whitney is Billies half-sisters step-daughter (so step-uncle of sorts) Bianca is Rickys step-mums grandaughter (so a step-uncle of sorts) |

The florist standing outside while Libby went into an empty shop, on the pretence of using the toilet, and not even going in to check what she was doing. Would anyone be as daft?

![]() No I agree that did strike me as odd especially as just moments before they'd been desperate to get information from her. The florist also must have been stupid to leave the shop office unlocked for anyone to walk into and just take whatever CCTV DVD they like. Also what time was the florist open to? It was chucking out time at the Vic when they were outside the florist. |

Had to laugh at your comment that there are no plotholes in EE at the moment, as the last poster pointed out, the biggest one is the body buried in the square, and that laughable carry on last night at the florists. Also, I know it,s been said many times before, but no one is allowed to work outside the Square, the latest being Carol Jackson, now working at the carlot. What happened to the really good job she has elsewhere( a secretary/PA or something). Why would she give it up

it's snowing in London today apparently. I can't see any - or is it only in Walford?

The Carlot/MiniCab business.
Nobody ever seems to be working the radios, ever at the moment, no drivers either. Janine was going out looking for Account clients not so long ago, but it seems to have died on it's ar$e since then. There's only somebody working there either as a driver or controller when it involves one of the residents. |

Not a lot that can really do if the snow's coming down or settled on a set that big. |

This reminds me of one of the worst Duff Duffs of all-time which featured a suitably dramatic storyline but clubbed over viewers' heads with no subtlety: Jane has taken a phone call from South Africa and braces Ian for bad news. "It's your mum, Ian. Kathy's dead!" she pronounces. Because clearly Ian needs reminding his mum is called Kathy at this point (unlike the audience who are still familiar with a character who left 6 years ago... )!

How very PC of you. For your information lots of 'wheelchair guys' (or even, people with disabilities) can and do drive adapted cars with no problem whatsoever. And are far more tolerant than you, to boot, by the sounds!
