It's only for two weeks !!!! Shame things have to end up resorting to personal insults by some.

That was Brian Conley down at the London Production of Hairspray.

Caractacus Potts did dance in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Edna Turnblad does in Hairspray. Ok not as much experience on the dance side of things, but I wouldn't say less qualified. Michael has lots of experience in a variety of genre's within the industry. Performance wise he knows what it is like to be out of your comfort zone. I recall him as a judge on Soapstar Superstar where he was fair but not afraid to say what he thought.

I don't think that matters at all really. You don't have to have been through the experience to appreciate what the contestents are trying to do. People at home haven't either.

“ The Spice Girls were hardly pop stars with a couple of hit records. They had bigger tours and were more involved in doing relevant things like performing and choreographing modern dance routines, designing videos, selecting dancers and putting songs, choregraphy and costumes together to produce an end product.”
And Emma is on the panel already to cover those aspects.

“Emma has been doing interviews since she was a teen and also does live radio so she also has plenty of experience speaking live.”
Michael he has presented many live broadcasting shows both on tv and radio and since April '08 has presented his own radio 2 show. So he too has plenty of experience speaking live.
Despite the blurb of course Michael isn't replacing Robin how could he? Robin brings with him a wealth of skating knowledge and experience. If we were talking about a permanant judge then I would rather have a judge with skating knowledge but for two weeks I don't think it will be to detrimental not to have one. Afterall we still have Karen and Nicky on the panel for that (and not forgetting Jayne and Chris on hand for extra input). I think Michael's strength here will be in seeing how well the couples interpret and connect with their piece of music, the audience and each other.
