Do you think Kevin Sacre is a good dancer? What about Caroline Flack? Or Michelle Dale?

Too good to be considered as a celeb contestant for SCD this year?

The voiceover said the celebrities partnered either had SCD experience or some dance training already. So maybe they are over-qualified for SCD?

What do you guys think?

I was thinking I'd love to see Caroline & Kevin but there could be a certain advantage what with Kevin engaged to Camilla & Caroline looks like she's had some sort of experience.

If Kevin Sacre did it, Camilla would be a backseat driver for whichever poor pro got him!

has Kevin got any dance background experience except from his girlfriend Camilla???

Isn't it Michelle Gayle???????? I might remember wrong but didn't she used to be in Eastenders... (did she do Dance for Comic Relief last year? )

Would quite like it if any of them took part but it is unlikely as they have a minimum of 4 weeks intensive choreography/training so doubt they would be elligible

They're probably overqualifed now, but I'd quite to like to see them all have a go.

Caroline Flack is a TV presenter, she's done Gladiators and the ITV2 bit of I'm a Celebrity..., and Michelle Gayle was in Eastenders and had a singing career for a bit

I would like to see Kevin and Caroline not Mechelle thoufg hard to tell after 1 show of dancing on wheels though

I know who Michelle is and I know who Kevin is because of Camilla, but Caroline I have never heard of before.

I'd love to see Caroline do it She's got a lovely chatty personality, and can clearly dance. I wonder if Camilla would be tempted back if Kevin competed, ala Julianne in Dancing With The Stars

I didn't get much of an impression of Michelle after the first show, but I liked Keven and Caroline. I'm another one who hadn't a clue who Caroline was (the first clip we saw of her was when she was sitting down and I assumed she was one of the non-celeb contestants!) but she seemed lovely and looked to have some talent. Kevin I remember from Hollyoaks, and it does seem that the Hollyoaks crew have some dance talent between them! I suspect they'll have too much dance experience for SCD, but then again haven't one or two past competitors done other Strictly-type mini-series?

I love Caroline! But yeah, although I know already knew who she was, I was aware that she wouldn't be very well known. I think she's great on the show though!

Kevin looks a rather handy dancer, as does Caroline - I suspect those 2 wouldn't be allowed to do it, either based on past experience, or having done Dancing on Wheels.

How about those 3 newsreaders from the "Sports Relief" dancing last night ----- Matt Barbett, Louise Minchin and Ellie Crisell. Any of those would be a good addition.

I'd rather see the lovely Iwan Thomas - featured in the Olympians - in Strictly.

He was in Celebrity Masterchef last year and did quite well, as I recall.

He's also rather sweet and as for those tattoos we caught a glimpse of on Saturday ...

..and Jamie Baulch (?) looked as though he could move a bit

In the first programme I seem to remember them saying all the celebs had had either SCD experience or some dance background or training, which might make the latter ones ineligible.

I'm not too sure whether any training they might have had previously would disbar them from appearing on Strictly tbh. I imagine that most of the previous participants who are actors/actresses had some sort of dance training at stage school and if it wasn't a problem for them to do it, why should it be a problem now? and if it was ok for Alesha and Rachel to compete when I'd seen them dance in music vids more than a few times it really shouldn't be an issue for the others, should it?

I imagine Kevin, Caroline and Michelle wouldn't be allowed on the basis that they've been doing Ballroom and Latin in this competition.

She was very good, looked like a good latin dancer which has been sorely missed.

I thought he was amazing on Masterchef as well. I really hope he does Strictly next year. He seems really genuine in what he does, not just out to further his career.

Put Kevin with Lilia or Katya - I can't see either of them accepting backseat driving readily.
