TBH, given how seriously some viewers take the show (not saying that's a good or a bad thing), Kevin taking part would be silly. It'd open him up to week upon week of cries of how he has an unfair advantage. Look at how much some people complain if a contestant has even just the slightest dance experience. They'd have a field day over a contestant that's actually in a relationship with a Pro Dancer. It could easily be his downfall before he'd stepped onto the floor.
