iPod Classic problem.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I put my iPod in the computer using the usual USB port. It said 'the folder MATT'S IPOD could not be read'. I then restored it. It was halfway through syncing the next time and the same message popped up. I restored it for another 3 times, and every time, at different points, the message popped up. Every time the message popped up, it stopped syncing and the things that had been synced could only be played.

I think disconnected the USB and closed iTunes. I put the USB in again, and went to Computer. I formatted my iPod (which took about an hour) and now it says 'do not disconnect' in a different font and style to the usual Apple style.

My iPod is out of warranty and I don't know what to do.

Thanks

The troubleshooting guide on the Apple site suggests re-installing itunes along the way. Doing the full restore is usually the last option, and if you've tried it several times then a trip to an Apple store (Arndale or Trafford centre) may be a good move, even if just to ask for advice.
