Sorry to be pedantic but the title of the thread made me laugh. Do you mean Michael is judging balls or Michael Ball's judging.

The idea of balls judging sounds eye-watering

ooooooooooh - Jason got a bit shirty with him there as he spoke when Holly asked him a question,

Michael has naturally curly hair and not permed! I first knew him when he was very heavy (fatter than he is now) and his hair was lighter in colour and always curly (I think he dyes it now because it's darker than when he was in his 20s)

Emma Useless Bunton, watch and learn.

(I think she is just frustrated she can't do it herself so she marks down everyone else). I always quite liked her till she came onto this show but now I loathe her.

Yes, Michael is judging on exactly what he said he would, and isn't presuming to know anything about the technical aspects.

Quite impressed with his input so far.

I am pleasantly surprised I had the expectation that he would annoy me but he hasn't at all! I agree about him taking Emma's job

I liked him. Intelligent comments and sensible marking on the whole.

They should definitely get him back.

I'm a massive fan of his, so ever so slightly biased here, but I thought he did great tonight. He's a lovely man - very warm and friendly, and he gave constructive comments without being too critical.

I'd prefer him on the panel than Emma or Jason. I find him interesting and he's not an attention seeker and is always constructive.

She marks down people who are not very good but does it more rationally than Jason or Nicky. People who like those people for some reason will always have problems with her. Michael seems to come from the Karen school of high encouraging marking. If you give out extra marks few people will have a problem with you. If it wasn't for Jason and Emma the marks would have been both too high and in the wrong order tonight as Emma ended up doing Robin's job of balancing Nicky's high marks. Michael was actually making the same performance points as Jason, Emma and Nicky do from their perspectives , but from an acting course day one perspective (as with hold your head up and don't talk to the stage)

I was impressed as well. Maybe he could replace Emma next year if they don't have her back.

Excellently constructive. I like Emma as well, but I think Michael spoke more sense about the performance side of it. Give him Jason's job tho. Even Nicky was talking better sense about the performance then Jason was tonight.

I agree with you Syqo -- Michael is judging and critiquing as a non-skater would be expected to do, unlike Emma, who you would think is quite the expert, and she judges quite harshly at times, just like she knows it all....

I agree, I'd rather have Michael on the panel than Jason, Emma's ok.

emma is ok but she is trying to be like jason very catty remarks. Would prefer Mr. Ball to emma or Jason I thought he was great. Very surprised what a nice guy
