Hi,

I just wanted to some advice about recording stuff on at night time which I don't think I've ever done before.

The other night I stayed up to watch the opening ceremony at the Olympics and at some point (v.late) I got the message asking if I want to check for new software (and some other message although I can't remember what it was).

I want to record the coverage of the figure skating tonight. Are these housekeeping tasks likely to affect my recording? Similarly, if it overruns and I've got the recording settings as "auto", will it continue recording? (I plan to record on BBC HD)
