Jason couldn't even be gracious at the end of Dr Hilary Jones' time on the ice.

He is well paid to be the pantomine villian........he is simply playing the role he was hired to play. !

I am so glad the doctor has gone. He was very sweet but when these relatively weak contestants build up a head of steam it is almost impossible to dislodge them and better skaters have to leave the show, sometimes too soon.

He'd most probably been waiting weeks to use that line

It was such a funny joke, I almost wet myself laughing. Typical bell end Jason.

According to Philip on Tweeter, Jason was wearing an outfit created specially for him by Alexander McQueen.

The man is a complete fashion victim and looked completely ridiculous - but then he is ridiculous. Probably spent thousands and actually looks like a dipstick.

Is it wrong that I found that very funny?

Surely Phillip's "and now the doctor has been struck off" would be more offensive, if you are easily offended, and not just looking for reasons to moan at someone you don't like?

In other news, Dancing on Ice is a light entertainment show, and Dr Hillary has a sense of humour.

Not sorry to see Dr Hilary go...

I'm sure he's a decent enough bloke etc etc, but he had reached the point where he was outstaying his welcome and had enough sense to realise that.

As for Jason, I'm pretty sure he's just behaving as he is asked to do. Frankly I think that adds nothing to the programme; in fact it detracts from it. However, I'm not a producer whose job it seems to be to dumb down TV to suit the lowest common denominator.

Difference being that the impression I got was that Philip said it with the intention of a groan-making pun, whereas Jason said it as if he really meant it.

That may well be completely wrong, but that's my feeling.

Woooooooooo!, I don't care what Jason said, I'm beyond pleased Dr.Hilary is gone and it can become a REAL competition now.

Except that it's not a pun. And it wasn't very good.

I am as pleased as anyone that the Doc is gone, but he was pleasant enough while he lasted. There have to be poorer skaters/dancers in the nature of competition.

Now that is good. Especially as it was quick, and not something thought about weeks in advance, a la Jason.

Good point. He already used that same comment on This Morning (or GMTV?) during the week. He must have been really pleased with it.

I didn't see the skate off, but on one hand I'm glad that Doc Hilary has gone and on the other I'm disgusted with Jason - he can't even be nice and respectful when a competitor is voted off? Whether Hilary was crap or not, he deserves respect for giving it a go and doing it with a smile on his face. It takes guts.

I was quite offended by Jason's comments about Gary. He performed his best skate, was smooth with no mistakes, and Holly tries to be positive and say that Gary can be her leading man any day... and Jason says "You can have him!" and then when the cameras were off you could clearly hear him say "nobody else would have him!".

Rude, nasty man. I'd enjoy DOI much more if he weren't there. I'm all for constructive criticism, but when he gets personal the way he does, its bullying. Pure and simple.
