To all my fellow people of limited stature ....

For ages, it's been really quite a challenge to get nice, fashionable petite clothing. Particularly trousers - shops seem to think that petite women only wear bootcut or wide-leg trousers (actually very unflattering for people of our height).

Some shops (Topshop, Miss Selfridge, River Island, etc) have started to stock shorter length jeans, but have neglected work wear trousers. I have also found that often, the trousers are not really in proportion.

Many shops have not yet realised that petite people are petite all over, and that sleeves are often way too long. I have recently made a wonderful discovery - ASOS. Their petite range is the best I have seen anywhere. Many of the items are exclusive to the petite section, and they are all very current and fashionable, whilst being incredibly reasonably priced. I also like Republic a lot. It has taken a while, but there must be a demand for petite clothing, as these sites have demonstrated.

For underwear (those who have a small back size - 32, 30, 28), I have found Figleaves and good old Marks and Spencer to be among the best - very pretty lingerie in small sizes.

I hope that this helps anyone who is looking for petite clothing which is reasonably priced, and yet still on-trend.

I only recently thought about M&S for bras (which sounds a bit stupid I know!); I'm a 30 back and most high street places don't go smaller than a 32 or 34, so I usually buy from Figleaves but have to keep returning stuff until I find the right size. But, as I now realise, M&S do some really good and very affordable stuff. so I'd definitely agree with you there.
