Something TV does not exist anymore, they are now called VeryTangyTV.com. Hope that helps. (I am not associated with this company but am a little concerned how often they rebrand themselves.)

Hi Everybody,
Before I post comment, I would like to make it very clear that I am the owner and Managing Director of Very Tangy Media Ltd, the company that owns Very Tangy TV. I need to correct the comments of the forum user 'daio', unfortunately this comment is both incorrect and misinformed. ![]() Very Tangy TV is nothing to do with the company that used to own the now liquidating and defunct 'Something TV / PLAY UK TV" or any of the other brands that company traded as. Very Tangy Media Ltd is a media company based in the Cotswolds, we started Very Tangy TV over a year ago in competition to Something TV, using the same technology. We have never been known as any other TV service and in fact are more well known for our gay motoring brand 'Top Gayer' and 'Top Gayer TV'. We actually supplied 'Something TV' with several of our in-house channels , which unfortunately they decided not to pay us for or remotely adhere to their contract with us. We are still owed huge sums of money by 'Something TV' and are currently speaking with their liquidators to recoup this money. The ONLY association we have with Something TV is the fact we have purchased their entire Set-top box stock from the liquidators and have now reconfigured them to stream Very Tangy TV. If anybody would like anymore information about Very Tangy TV or Very Tangy Media, please check out our websites: www.verytangytv.com or www.verytangy.com |

Tangy TV
As it is very difficult to find any information on your web sites, how can anyone ask a question about your new service. It would be good to find out more about your product,eg: what in store in the near future what you can recieve now(compleat listing) and general easy to find information. By the way , no one responds from your company when you sent them a e-mail. Thanks Quote:

Thanks In terms of contacting Very Tangy TV, there is a contact form on the website and a freephone number that you can phone. This is all listed under the 'help' and 'Contact' section. Due to the recent Ideal World show, the magnitude of emails is high, and we do our best to answer all queries made, within 48hrs of receiving them, so please be patient. So, do not hesitate to call or email and we will answer any questions you may have. in reference to channel listings, this is a fix we are doing today and hopefully should be uploaded to the website by 5pm GMT. darkone338, we are sorry to hear about your something TV service. Do you still know your login details? if so send us an email (support@verytangy.com) addressed for the attention of the Managing Director, and we will arrange for your box to receive Very Tangy TV. I hope that this helps people with their enquiries and appreciate the feedback. Thanks, Very Tangy TV Team. www.verytangytv.com |

Hi Very Tangy TV Team.
Thanks for your reply,as you said the full TV listing is now on the web site. Great. But still no reply from your e-mail . Maybe you could tell me,do you have any live British horse racing feed in the pipe line. In my opinion At The Races and/or Racing Uk would be a massive selling point for yourselves. Many Thanks wpg123 |

Just a quick question that I wondered if any forum member could answer or indeed the representative from Tangy TV whom posted earlier.
I recently watched an Ideal World item, and Ideal World were selling the Tangy TV service. During the presentation the representative for the Tangy TV company stated that if you are capped on your ISP, (Ie. at 10Gb per month) this will in no way affect the usage, and add to this. With my own ISP, going over the monthly limit would incur costs for every Gb more that were used. Now surely this is mis-information? As far as I'm aware IPTV, along with any other Internet service uses bandwith, whether it's sent via a website such as BBC iPlayer, or a set top box; as the box/website is constantly streaming. Any feedback would be appreciated. Regards, Andy |

Hi WPG / Andy,
I'll answer you in order of posts if thats ok ![]() WPG, We are currently in talks with a couple of racing streams and hopefully these will be added very shortly. Also thanks for ordering the service, I'm sure you'll be much happier than you were previously, any issues please don't hesitate to contact us and I'll personally deal with it for you. With regards to your email, we've searched the inboxes and cant find the original email you sent us, I'm assuming it came from the email address you used to tag your service? Potentially this is down to the sheer volume of emails we received, however I can only apologize for you not receiving an answer. We'll do our best to ensure this isn't a situation that repeats itself again. Andy, The statement on Ideal World was due to my nerves I'm afraid to say and I did correct the comment in a later show, we also requested that the operators at Ideal inform customers that the service best suits customers with unlimited download packages. The service is no different, and uses only slightly more bandwidth, than just regularly watching streamed content via services such as YouTube or iPlayer. However as you rightly point out on a 10GB download limit you would easily use that and more. If you were to replace your regular TV service with the VTTV service, and watched it say 5hrs a day / night / every day of the month you'd be looking at around 35gb of download content, which is actually only slightly more than you would use if you watched iPlayer, YouTube or downloaded songs from Spotify etc etc for the same periods. 10GB is actually the lowest download limits in the industry currently, few providers with the exception of BT and AOL actually offer this limit anymore. I don't know what your paying a month to your ISP but I'd recommend an upgrade if you can afford it or shop around for a new and better deal. I'd recommend following this link http://www.top10-broadband.co.uk/pac...mit%26more%3D1 , it gives you a great idea of the packages available, for instance O2 are offering unlimited download, free wireless router, no connection charge and up to 20MB for £10 a month if your an O2 customer or £15 a month if your not. I would however say now that with your current 10GB limit I'd have to recommend that you didn't opt for VTTV as you would go over your limit. I hope this sorts out the situation and the misunderstanding caused due to my statement on Ideal World. If I can be of any further help please don't hesitate to contact me directly. Best Wishes Rich Tuckwell - Very Tangy TV |

What are all the channels about? At least provide a description of what they are, or even arrange them in genres, or even provide a website for them?

Hi Very Tangy TV,
Could you please post a link with the full list of "320" channels as your site states but does not list the full channels available. |

whats interesting id the products page....
4 steps to receiving the best movies, Sports and News direct from India with you VTTV box I remember seeing another product similar to this that stopped the live channels, this was also from india or thereabouts. it was named jadoo. so its simply freeview piped down an iptv line + loads of mixed contant from odd channels. not worth it in my opinion. |
