Bought it this morning, listened to it twice so far.

I really like it, loads of really nice melodies and both innocent vocals & lyrics (although Dental Care is just weird!). It's all very lush and dreamy, but as many have said - you definitely need a sweet tooth to get the most out of it. It's an absolute treat for someone like me in that respect not all the songs are good, but I like most of them. Favourites so far are Cave In, On The Wing (which was also on one of his other albums) and Vanilla Twilight.

The critics are slating it, and not giving Adam Young credit for anything, which doesn't surprise me at all. It's not for everyone, and definitely not for the cool kids.

Anyone else heard it?

I want to buy it. Is it out on CD or just an iTunes release? I've already heard and downloaded Fireflies and Vanilla Twilight but most reviews for the album say the songs are very samey and weak. Willing to give it a try though.

I went out and bought the CD so it's out on both.

If you like Fireflies then I think you'll like the album. There are some weak songs but overall it's definitely worth the money. I wouldn't worry much about the 'professional' reviews - they dislike it simply because it's twee, innocent, computerized pop, and because many of them are (still) obsessed with this notion that it's a Postal Service rip-off. But that shouldn't make it any less enjoyable for music lovers like us.

Mine too. Bird and the Worm is a good track, too.

Umbrella Beach does sound like something from an old Sonic The Hedgehog game
