You get 250mb per month for 12 months, but you must keep an active balance (even if it's just a few pence) to be able to use the data.

250 mb won't go far on an iphone.

Would you not be better off getting a PAYG iphone from o2 and going on their simplicity tariff.

Loads of minutes, texts and mb for £20/month, so I believe.

If they want PAYG, that doesn't mean they want to pay monthly. I have an iPhone 3GS on Orange PAYG and i have yet to go over my 250mb limit, and even when you do....nothing happens! It's not a cap like Vodafone, its just a fair usage thing!

When you buy the iPhone and activate it on iTunes, Orange will text you your access code for BT Openzone Wi-Fi.

Anyway on the O2 simplicity you pay monthly, but if you're having Dolphin tariff, when you top up by £10 you get 300 free texts anyway, £20 for 600, £30 for unlimited texts.

I was led to believe that the 250 mb with PAYG was included but then after you pay per Mb.

The t&cs say The free mobile internet offer only applies in the UK and is capped at 250MB per month, after which standard pay as you go data charges apply.
