Strange consistency

All of the Noddy programmes always start recording LATE!
Does this indicate that the staff are incompetent on such a lesser channel?

I don’t know about Noddy but....

what is going on with BBC HD tonight.

I had Lark Rise in the schedule for 19.30 to 20.30 today. The box came out of stand by on time at 19.15 but the recording did not start.

Tuning to BBC HD at 20.00 and Wainwright Walks is on and it’s shown in the guide as a reserved schedule record.

I have not scheduled Wainwright to record but I did Lark Rising but Lark Rising is nowhere to be seen.

I don’t know about Noddy but I personally think the loonatics have taken over the asylum.

Update..
I have found my Lark Rising.

In the last 15 minutes the schedule has change from LR on the 22/2/2010 which is the next episode but means I have missed this weeks that should have been on tonight.

Then wait for it ! yes this weeks LR has just come up on the schedule for 18/2/2010.

Hope you have more luck with your start up times Stan.

We get the same problems with Pepper Pig, always records the 1st episode early and finishes recording before the secone episode finishes. They're on mon-fir at about 7am.

It must be the signal start time thingy they send with the progs. as everything else records perfect, maybe it's just C5? any tech guys know anything?

We have exactly the same problem with Peppa Pig. Annoying as there is no way of setting a manual record in advance on Freesat or is there? Come on Channel 5.

I see that you mention The Schedule SkipTracer but have you noticed that..
Whereas..when i look up any of my SERIES Record programmes .
i find them listed OK in the GUIDE which includes those for 7 Days ahead.
BUT
The 'SCHEDULE' only lists events for 5 Days..
There's an incongruity.
Is this a lack of resources in the Humax Box perhaps?

Lark Rise was dumped to prioritise the winter olympic's men's downhill, despite having been rescheduled in advance to accomodate said games. My Humax actually recorded it as if it were on. I intended to watch it after 9pm which is why I became aware of it early on.
Found the rescheduled time through the "find" function:- Thursday (18th) at 9pm, the BBC accomodating it by dumping two other programmes; genius eh?
We have yet to see what happens next week.
Snow usually stops transport and closes schools, this time lack of it (in Canada) stops tv.
Just another thought: why can't ITV HD manage to broadcast the whole of Wild At Heart, not chopping the start or end or both?

If you have a foxsat-hdr either go into the schedule and edit the recording by setting a repeat pattern and padding the times or go to the blank entry at the end and create your own schedule from scratch

As I understand it this is NOT a Humax issue it is a Broadcaster issue.

The "triggers" to record are transmitted by the broadcaster and the poor Humax or any other recorder can only do what it is told.

I have the same problem with my Panny Freeview recorder when the broadcaster transmits the trigger late etc.

Are you sure about this, the schedule only displays the next ocurrence of a series recording in the epg. So if you have one with the next ocurrence in the last day of the epg it should be in the schedule.

As sure as I am that it is Pancake Tuesday Graham..
I guessed you would pick this one up as it is so arithmetically contradictory if not strange.
I ..we actually.. watched on Sunday the Ice Dancing.. from Series Record..
Thus Monday morning..
browsing i see the next session,,dutifully Flagged..
in the Guide for the following Sunday..
Then looked at the Schedule with about 20 listed progs
and found it only went 5 days ahead from that monday morning..
if it was not a Glich??
then it's a feature that i look forward to seeing the justification for from BobCat

My schedule is complete up to the 23/2 at 20:00 with the last entry How Earth Made Us - BBC HD. I have noticed that it sometimes updates overnight though after a episode has been recorded

Almost Human the Humax ..it has bad Hair days..
Today I see that the Guide and My Schedule are fully populated and listing for 7days and 18hours ahead..
And this at a much earlier time of day than when i found only 5 days listed in My Schedule..
Liking it more and more..
