I am expecting it to be rubbish - but hope to be pleasantly surprised.
I suppose I'm a glass half empty kind of guy .....

It was because the other HMs he was up against were even more boring than he was and what happened, at first it was all very exciting, we expected so much from him, yes even me, then he went into a coma for the rest of the series....what a let down that was.

It's no secret that I found him boring. Like most of the HMs I found his storytelling mind numbingly boring.
He played up to the cameras and was the most attention seeking of all of them in the house, evidenced by his oh so exciting "inventions", his constant remarks during nominations and his never ending visits to the Diary Room, knowing full well that all of this would get him good televised coverage................That's what the voting viewers saw and didn't get sucked in to the voting for the underdog concept.

I enjoyed BB4 to begin with, but it became more and more unwatchable as the best housemates were evicted.
I couldn't watch live after week four or five, it was way too dull.

I don't think in normal circumstances the majority of the Hm's from BB4 would be boring, but I do think there were a few of them in there that managed to smother any fun the others started. If Cameron, Steph and to a certain extent Gos, hadn't been in there, I am sure it would have been a much less inhibited house than it was. With Cameron and Steph it was like having your parents, or teachers watching disapprovingly all the time.

I think BB5 will be a good one. I hope they choose a very diverse range of people to go into the house and yes, I do hope there will be nookie this year as well as lots of scheming and rows.

Can't put my finger on why it will be good exactly, I just have a feeling it will.

Well!

It's nearly BB5 time, so I might as well comment on my thoughts about the subject

I started watching BB about halfway through the first series (I just missed the whole Nasty Nick affair), and have watched ever season since.

I'm probably going to anger a few ppl here, because my fav series is everybody elses most hated.

I liked BB4 the best, because, in the whole, I thought the ppl where nice and realistic ppl, not a whole bunch of media wannabies like BB3.

Plus the fact, that I thought some of the twists and turns introduced where quite novel. I can however, understand why the vast majority of ppl seem to hate it, and I can only hope that BB5 strikes a balance between BB4 and BB3.

IMO, BB2 is my second fav series, again because of a good mix of ppl, but with a couple of wannabes thrown in. A housemate mix like that would probably produce a good series, as long as the producers get with the program and seriously toughen up.

One of the few things I really liked about BB3 was the fact that BB was quite a bit more formidable and wasn't so nicey nicey with the housemates as (he/she/it) was in BB4.

Anyway!

I think that BB5 should be good, and I hope everybody is pleasantly surprised. I know however, that even if it is the worst series ever, I'm pretty sure I'll still be watching!

I'm really looking forward to BB5 now it's getting closer. I think they realise from BB4 that they need a much better mix of people...a better range of age group would help as well.

I've only ever done a couple of posts on here in the past....but since the forum I usually post on has 'gone to the dogs' in more ways than one I'll probably visit here during BB5.

Oh you are so right JJ, I started on that forum but have also posted on here since BB3. Much better forum here, more well informed, excellent posters and I don't think any favouritism from the mods.

I'm looking forward to the show even more now.
You 2 are right about the other forum.
It's completely lost it now.

Hi all, time to say hello for 2004.

I missed BB1 but got totally hooked 1/2 way through BB2. BB3 had me sleeping on the sofa waiting for late night scraps LOL I loved those.

BB4, I hated at the time but it was still adictive because of the emotions it bought out. I loved Jon right from the start & saw him as funny and just a nice person, not boring. By the end of it, I didn't know I was capable of feeling so hateful towards strangers LOL Mainly Cameron ( who started off as my fav on first impresions) & Justine. They got me so cross I too turned to this forum for updates just so I didn't have to see them LOL.

I was wrong about Tania though, It turned out she is a really nice girl & not at all bitchy. I thought she was playing a game, but it seems she wasn't.

I am very hopeful about BB5, Hoping enderol have learned by past mistakes. can't wait for it to start !!
