I'm not aware of any. The end of 2009 has gone so if your "info" is right then this phone might appear in march, whatever it may be. It's not all about the number of mega-pixels though.

Satio is still selling.
Nokia is rumoured to be releasing a 12MP phone soon touch I think. The news was only a few days ago. I read it on GSM Arena. |

the missus' samsung G800 has an optical zoom, forgetting the number of pixels this feature alone makes it so so much more usable, ive been very impressed and she has even stopped using her old *film* camera since getting it!

Don't get drawn into the pixel count wars.
A 12mp camera does not take better pictures than a 5 or 3mp unit. Especially with such a small sensor. Best compact camera I've had has been a 3.2mp Canon, purely down to the quality of the lens. The 6mp Casio, 12mp Kodak and even the 12mp Panasonic currently owned don't take pictures that look as good. And neither of the 12mp cameras come close to the 10mp DSLR ..... Optical zoom would be worth having, but most people tend to want a smaller/thinner device, so optical zoom in a phone is unlikely. Unless the folding type optics are used - I'm surprised this hasn't been done. My panasonic doesn't have an external lens, everything is done inside. |

Went to Vodaphone shop the other day to sort out my C905 that had died and said that when I upgrade I would be interested in the Satio. They said that because of all the problems with the software they had stopped making them.
So I will now have to look for something else. they did mention the 2 new SE phones coming soon though. Software is awful runs the same as Nokias and it's slow, unresponsive, you have to really tap the screen for a response, the materials of the phone are awful cheap plastic. The C905 is good but mine broke three times. The Satio was a no go for me worst phone I've used in ten years second to the Nokia N95 (again it had a good camera but felt cheap and was massive and slow). |

I think it looks quite nice actually. Very slick, classic candy bar design.

I don't see the point, with the LQ lenses that are used you won't see any difference between 8MP and 12MP. Infact probably anything over 5MP will be non existent or negligible.

When I first got the N73 I took images side-by-side against a Casio 6mp camera. The N73 took better, sharper images. Then picked up a W810, and it seemed to do a better job again. Nokia moved onto the 5mp snappers, and I've had a N95 and N85. Both good phones, and the cameras are fine outdoors, but indoors or any time with less than perfect lighting and they were pretty useless. So both the N95 and N85 didn't improve over the quality of their 3mp predecessor, which isn't really surprising. The N86 apparently does quite a good job, but is still compromised in low ambient light scenarios. |

Hi everyone,
I'm part of Vodafone's Web Relations team and would like to offer some help and advice. The Nokia N8 is rumored to be released later this year, altyhough there's no confirmed dates yet, some of the specifications of the handset look fantastic with the 12 mega pixel camera and large touchscreen. I've had phones in the past that have given shocking quality pictures, and others that are comparable to my digital camera. Personally I think a lot of this is down to having a flash (or not in most cases) on the phone. The Satio does have a really top quality camera built in, we've recently used one for our profile pics on our website! It's not been pulled from production as far as I'm aware, but I know a number of networks have stopped stocking the phone now, as they do over time anyway. If you have any other questions we have our own Twitter page where we also provide support, follow us and we're on call whenever you have a question! http://twitter.com/vodafoneuk All the best, Helen Web Relations Team Vodafone UK |

What happened to the rumoured LG 12MP phone? |
