Talk Talk's new free service!
Heinz
18-02-2010
OK, you probably didn't believe the thread title but it's true - it was announced on BBC TV's Breakfast programme this morning that Talk Talk are going to offer an opt-in service to receive weekly calls from an individual (always the same person) from the company 'for a chat'.

They allege it's not going to be any type of sales call but is genuinely just for a chat and they will not cold call anyone - their customers have to opt in (and select a 'chat password' to avoid scammers latching on).

Sounds like a nice move to get free advertising on the BBC to me!

Good grief, what next? Do they really think it will bring more people to use them?

I'd like to hear some of these conversations.
I predict a lot of awkward friendly chats.
