Anyone know when this starts and will it be live interactive or just shown on ITV?
Cheers

Hell's Kitchen starts on Sunday 23 May at 9.00pm and runs until Sunday 6 June. It's going to be hot!

Do you work for ITV?

Stripped @ 9pm on ITV with Extra Portions on ITV2. Interestingly, though, ITV2 are not streaming it during the day. Maybe they're waiting to see how it performs in the ratings first, before rolling out further coverage.

I think it should do well. But it's up against Lynley on the first night. Is this a repeat?

Yes, it is a repeat. It may even be the very first episode.

This is going to be superb.

Angus Deayton's doing an excellent job. Good script, great concept, interesting mix of celebs ....and Gordon Ramsey.

Another embarrassing addiction for me I'm afraid.

You have got to be kidding, Jon.

Some aspects of the show I've noticed so far:

Gordon Ramsey seems to be behaving very un-naturally, like he's almost playing up to the image of sheer aggressiveness he has much like John McEnroe used to towards the tail end of his career.

It's difficult to know which celebs to feel sorry for in this; it could be Dwain Chambers, who had a real chance of getting a gold medal at this summer's Olympic Games but took something he shouldn't and now he has to do this to attempt to restore his tattered public profile.

Then again, it could be Roger Cook, who has gone from the highs of exposing criminals and underhand world leaders to the low of being shouted at to cook a risotto, or it could be former Brookside star Jennifer Ellison.

But the person I'd feel most sorry for is Angus Deayton, after going from the highs of fronting one of the best programmes of the week on prime-time Friday BBC1 to fronting this pile of crap.

And judging from how ill at ease he's looked in presenting tonight, I'd say he knows it.

What a disappointing show. Far too much of Angus Dayton self-consciously trying to be funny when the focus should be on the celebs. Gordon Ramsay being a caricature of himself. Thumbs down on this one so far.

From what I've seen and read about Ramsey his attitude on the show is very real. The live show's will be a giveaway one way or the other. What I find intriguing about this is that he's dealing with celebrities and ego maniacs, not frightened sychophantic trainee chefs.

It could all fall flat of course but the potential is fantastic.

That's just a part of these shows. Whether you're watching with pity or with a sense of sadistic voyeurism, there's no denying the appeal.

....you forgot about one time international superstar, Belinda Carlisle.

Isn't it nice to see someone who isn't Davina McCall or Ant and Dec though?

...and hey, at least he's working again.

Jesus Christ on a bike, it's Jordan!

Best line of the show so far:

Mark Durden-Smith: Am I right in saying it's bulging with A-listers out there?

Jordan: Yeah, I just saw Dr Fox.

Well what a let-down ......

After all the ballyhoo, there was far too much far too often from Angus and not enough from the "celebrities" and GR ..... we didn't ever see GR show the celebs how to make a dish, we just see the ******* results .....

3/10

THey've just covered an entire week's events in one hour-long show?! Blimey, they must think viewers have ZERO attention span. To think Big Bro takes an entire show just to cover the arrival of the housemates. Clearly ITV1 are determined that the first show doesn't drag. But they've completely gone the other way - far too much going on and you can't follow a damn thing.

Two whole weeks of Ramsey shouting out orders, and sweaty celebs getting in a tizz? No thanks guys.

And we've got to wait SIX days until they get rid of someone?

Plus, did Angus say they're going to replace Roger Cook? Well how is that going to be fair?

Before the show started I was looking forward to watching it, but annoyed as it would clash with Big Brother if I became hooked. If it continues in the same way as tonight's show, I shall have no problem in dumping it for BB.

I can't stand Angus at the best of times, so it's a shame he seems to yack on and on for most of the programme. I want to see more coverage of the kitchen and the celebs.

Maybe the live coverage will prove to be the best coverage, as it won't have all the interference from presenters.

Do you know what? Last year BB wasn't very good, but this year I really think that they are pulling out all the stops to make it a good show.

I decided to watch Hell's Kitchen, thinking it would be quite good, but I was so dissapointed. It was complete rubbish. Everyting seemed so set-up and fake. Angus Deaton was really bad at presenting, and Gordon Ramsey seemed as if he was playing up to the cameras. I'll not be watching this again. Roll on Friday when Big Brother returns!

Very disappointed at Angus Deayton's presenting skills. He obviously is useless at presenting live TV without a full autocue and producer yelling in his ear. Mark Durden-Smith would have been a much better choice as the ITV1 presenter, although I suspect his innuendoes might not be too well received on ITV1.

As for the programme itself, well it's early days, guess we should give it a chance to fully get going? Quite often "I'm A Celebrity...." takes a few days to settle down and get going, and the first show is generally a review of the previous week and not so much "live" action.

Katie.

One of the lackeys doing the washing up and getting black plastic bags is extremely attractive. That's the best I can say for it though.

It's bulging with celebs who have a quasi-contract with ITV.

Very similar to the Come Dancing extravaganza that's currently sweeping the BBC...
