the random listening in on a tables conversations during the "Extra portion" section of the show might kick up something interesting.
On both nights the tables where busy talking about somebody completely oblivious that the nation is listening to every word. Last night Edwina Curry's family were discussing a obviously private health issue affecting Mo Mowlam. It almost seemed like ITV tried to cover up their conversation with Mark trying to make out they where discussing Edwina when it was quite obvious they where talking about Mo and the sound blanking come on a bit late. |

Tonights show is better still.
One thing I noticed tonight was an apparent disregard for hygene.. James seems to be wiping the sweat off his brow constantly and not washing his hands at any point. His back is absolutely soaked with the stuff. He can't help it obviously but I would have thought washing hands constantly would have been high priority. |

It's like they say if you saw the kitchen you'd never eat in the restuarant. This kitchen seems clean.

Well .....
I wasn't going to watch it but I set the VCR to record just in case ...... Anyway ...... Just zipped through it - more of the same - additionally warm-hearted Ramsay - AWT turned up and failed to get a meal - he said the menu was too ambitious (shades of Kitchen Nightmares) ..... Again, the most interesting exercise was celeb-spotting - tonight's special was Shane Lynch, though I thought I saw Paul Young too ..... nuff |

There was a clip last night where Gordon said he was going to tell Tommy to remove his dark glasses, yet later on in the evening, live, he was STILL wearing them!!!

come on, Monday night when Angus was over asking Gordon how he was doing, did no-one see Gordon look quickly, as he was standin quiet, saw the camera on himself and just suddenly ranted and raved.
so he quickly plays up to the camera. |

i noticed this - they seemed to be talking about Mo's health and that in some way the restuarant should have known about it and made her food a prioritysee seemed really on the warpath when it showed her leaving |

Viewers flee Hell's Kitchen
MediaGuardian - Extract - Wednesday May 26, 2004
Hell's Kitchen: 5.1m viewers saw last night's show, down from 8.3m on Monday After just three days viewers are starting to feel the heat and get out of Hell's Kitchen, with ratings for the Gordon Ramsay-fronted ITV reality show plummeting by more than 3 million compared with the previous night. Two Have Left!
Dwain and Tommy Vance have walked out this morning!
Good for them ! There was some talk of walking, including James and Amanda (obviously), but the guys have got the bottle to do it .... I hope more walk ..... This show was overhyped from the start, GR was far too ambitious and some of the celebs were never going to suit this show owing to the physical, mental and emotional demands placed upon them ..... |

WOULDNT that be SO embarrassing for ITV like?
and Gordon Ramsey? in 2 days there will be a live feed of Angus with no customers behind him and the kitchen empty but for a Gordon Ramsey standing there with his arms folded looking baffled and some ITV crew standin round wonderin what de **** to do like!

Hehehe ......
And not just a few in the ITV crew .... the credits include 9 VT editors, 9 stream directors, 9 sound editors, 7 story producers and 10 gallery producers on top of the usual producers/directors/cameramen/soundmen/gaffers, etc there's an extra 1/2 hour program at 11pm tonight ..... that'll be interesting ....... |

So Tommy Vance was drafted in for like a day and a half and then walks!
He must have known what it would be like, as I believe they said he had catering training when he was younger. Baffled. TBH tho it may help the remaining staff if the deadwood get out. Who is gonna replce the leavers tho, will they have help in as 3 or 4 staff can't cover 5 positions. |

I can see Gordons reaction now...
Gordon: "Two people quit this morning. So what. Tommy Vance? Top DJ? I'd never heard of him. Dwain Chambers? 100m sprinter? he couldn't beat an egg. Lets use them walking out of the door as a chance to bring the group closer together. Lets refine the team. We can do this. Yeah?" Amanda: "YES CHEF!" |

) to bounce off James ...and let the show begins!

Sunday (Episode 1): 7 million viewers
Monday (Episode 2): 8.1 million viewers Tuesday (Epispde 3): 5.1 million viewers I don't blame people for switching off. It's complete rubbish. Role on Big Brother on Friday is all I can say! I bought 'Return Of The KIng' on dvd today, so I think I'll watch that tonight instead of this Hell's Kitchen crap. |

So whos gonna get voted off first?? Its obviously going to be the best cooks who don't make enough mistakes to actually get shown on tv. Amanda's probably going to win.
