Is Gordon losing his voice? He seems quiet on the live ITV 2 stream.

Yep, Gordon is losing his voice it seems. And *shock horror* he just told off his main head chef girl too.

Tonight's show will be my last...this is a car wreck!! but unlike some car wreck T.V. this doesn't even have the faintest whiff of interest.
This was if we're honest about it a lousy idea to start with,TOO ambitious,TOO poorly produced,in short,a car wreck of a show.
I see the audience dwindling to around the 2-3 mill mark by Friday.
Post BB it will sink beneath the waves like a stone.

Have I completely misunderstood something here?

Vic Reeves went to the restaurant, didn't see anything on the menu he fancied, so asked for two fried eggs. Mr Ramsay politely told him to get stuffed (or he gave him 2 fried eggs and Vic complained for some obscure reason then he told him to get stuffed ) ... I lost the will to watch somewhere around there.

I'm thinking if I went to a restaurant and didn't like anything on the menu I'd go elsewhere or order something vaguely appealing. I mean, you wouldn't go to an Indian restaurant and ask for Chow Mein, would you?

I didn't watch it last night,..but if that's what Vic Reeves did, I do find it funny.

It's funny because Gordon Ramsay reckons his reputation's on the line, and that this is supposed to be a serious kitchen, and that all this is a challenge to provide a quality dining experience.
But that's crap, WE all know that this bollox isn't true.
It's about Gordon Ramsay verbally abusing a bunch of celebrities. We knew that was what it was all it was about before it even started.
Let's not fall for this pretentious nonsense about some world class restaurant that Gordon keeps maintaining.
It's trash TV. he knows it, and we know it. It's just a blast for us to sit back and be entertained by.
It's amusing to see somebody not taking it oh so seriously, and to give Gordon's amazing ego a bit of a knock.

Anything that make a mockery of Gordon's pretentious, fake bullshit has got to be a good thing.

Watching this show disintigrate is funnier than the show itself

I ran a mini-poll on my site, and over these few days she has dominated it. I'll be honest, i haven't actually paid attention to what she has been doing, because with Matt getting a roasting and TV & DC walking, distracted my attention.

Another point, what a pathetic reason for Tommy leaving. Why didn't hejust tell the truth? He was tired, tsk tsk!!!
Its amusing, because it seemed (in my local site poll, he was doing quite well).

I don't think this show will harm GR at all, he is a damn good people manager,
they lost 2 people last night and they seemed to do better for it, both the kitchens appeared to have completed all the orders by midnight (still a long time to wait but they did it), as for the hosts of the show, well angus should stick to shagging prostitutes he's just not funny any more, and mark - wetter than a soggy ravioli - jordan supposed to bring glamour to the show - i think not.
the production of the show is amatuerish, i expect they are speaking to gordon all the time (in his mini earpiece) telling him to spice it up, no wonder he threw it out yesterday. how can he concentrate on doing his job with whinning producers in his ear !

as for the 2 that walked out, just goes to show that these z list celebs are just mini prima donnas who can't do a full days hard work. amanda barry should be sacked - shes a total liability she wonders about with her head in the clouds, and has a look on her face all the time as if she is a small child who desperately needs the toilet but is afraid to ask........

Have to agree with a lot of the comments here. Ive given this show 4 days and cannot get into it at all. Far too many sweaty celebs running around crying for my liking. What alot of people forget is they choose to be here, and like "Im a Celebrity" it may be for charity but they still get paid, and get TV interviews etc out of it, and of course some things are done for affect and to play to the cameras otherwise ITV wouldnt have a show.

I think it's odd that after a ratings slump 2 of the chefs "walked" hence more media attention and an extra programme!

Sorry ITV but this isnt going to hurt the first week of BB's ratings and I have a feeling this will be the one and only series of Hell's Kitchen.

By the way I worry for Amanda Barrie, she doesnt look well most of the time!

Pretty average viewing figures last night, even the BBC's News at 10 got more viewers!! I dont think this is going to be a new "Im a Celebrity" for ITV.

But a little knowledge is a dangerous thing

Apparently Tommy Vance was interviewed on This Morning this morning (I've always wanted to say that!) and was asked why he was wearing dark glasses ("shades") in the kitchen. His reply was "cause it's rock and roll".

As much as I enjoyed the first couple of days,..it's definitely running out of steam.

It just doesn't seem to be going anywhere. It's as though if you've seen one episode, you've seen them all.
Every show seems to be exactly the same as the one before.
Show recorded clips of Gordon getting stroppy, show the celebs struggling to cook, Gordon getting wound up, pep talk by Gordon, interrupt with Angus Deaton live in a restaurant with diners waiting for dinner,....then repeat the cycle.

The structure of the show doesn't sem to be working that well.
I think a big problem is that it hasn't got the immediacy of a live reality program. I think that makes a big difference. Granted, we have live coverage of Angus Deaton being sarcastic, but that's not the point.
We just get select clips of kitchen shenanigans, constantly, and the exact same type of clips are shown.

At the start of the series, we are shown a Big Brother type of house where the celebs live etc. but we don't get to see that.
We don't really see the celebs do anything other than what they do in the kitchen. We don't see how they get on together when they aren't messing up in the kitchen. We don't get to see how they are really coping in their time off, or if they are really making jokes about Gordon and slagging him off.

There doesn't seem to be any structure other than show kitchen clips that are more of the same,..and that's it.

Maybe it is impossible to do this show properly as I understand that a live camera in the kitchen might be difficult or actually be even more boring TV than if they just showed the "seen it before" type of clips.

I don't know, it's just getting boring now that everything's pretty much been done in the first show.

I know so little about the interaction of the celebs in there, like who they get on with, or who they don't, what their reflective thoughts are in their time off. I only get to see their immediate reactions to Gordon shouting at them.
If they continue with this format they are not going to allow us to develop any sense of who these celebrities are.

It's not even reality TV is it? It's content relies so much on very brief selected clips, it hardly gives us any proper insight into the people.
The only live bits are with Angus doing the presenting thing.

Good to see them make it last night. The celeb doing the pass should be fun but I'm not sure how long Gordon will let them stay there for or how much power he will give them to accept food. But by now they do seem to be getting there with the quality so perhaps he won't need to send any back.
