My Alba Aldtr160
My trusty ALBA ALDR160 seems to be playing up .I like to record the weekday breakfast comedy strand on Channel 4 and have been doing so with no problems since I bought the machine from Argos over a year ago.Recently I have had problems
When setting to record on series link on Channel 4 the programme is highlighted but a few seconds later a warning box pops up saying either "unable to start recording as signal is too weak" or The "Channel is not installed" this also happens on Channel 4+1 This seems strange as it's only just started ..my Humax in another room records perfectly .I have done all the reboots etc so am now stumped .I notice that i can't seem to check signal strength on this box..can anyone advise ? or share this problem with me .is this problem related to the fact it started last week when i installed the Humax ? |

If it only started the day you installed the Humax, then that is probably no coincendence. Has the routing of the signal to the Alba changed as a result of installing your Humax - e.g. extra splits in the aerial cable, etc? The signal strength meter can be found on the manual channel scan screen in the config/installation menu.
You already have the latest software, although an OAD is due to be broadcast soon (next month, probably). That said, it probably isn't going to help with your issue. |
