Ignore the chicken but does the sauce look right? This one has sherry in it. Might try it myself now |

I guess it's just a cheats way of getting the correct viscosity without spending time making a stock or bechamel etc. |

I'm a member of a site where a few Americans post many of the recipies and alot of them seem to use cans of soup (cream of mushroom or cream of chicken or chicken broth) as part of the recipes.

I lament the loss of campbells cream of mushroom (Baxters taken them over but not the same) - I use it in several tuna and chicken recipes
I found a tin at the back of my cupbaord - ok, it was officially a year past it's BBE date. But I used it anyway in making a chicken pie. Have I just used a very rare commodity? |

Has it disappeared?

Yep sadly it has gone. baxters bought them out and promised not to change the soups but they have! LOL at the year out of date but am sure tins are ok - hell what did they do during the war! |

Food made for a nuclear fall out and some people chuck them because they are a week out of date.
