Ok, this mightn't come across in the thread title, but what I mean which characters from separate soaps appear as though they might make good friends?

Here's what I've come up with...

Tyrone (corrie) and Gus (EE) an interesting friendship, they're both too nice for their own good and are both unlucky in love as the loves of each of their lives left them the second something better came along.. (Maria ditched Tyrone at the airport and headed off to Canada with Nick, while Sonia chose Jamie over Gus without much deliberation..)

Emily (corrie) and Dot Cotton (EE), they're both religious and elderly for a start and secondly they tend to take those in need of guidance under their wings. (Emily talked Tracy out of having an abortion while Dot provided Dennis with a place to stay while the Watts family was divided)

Martin Fowler (EE) and Ade Critchley, (ex-corrie) , all mouth without much to back it up, both are also fond of car accidents.. (Martin ploughed into Jamie Mitchell while Ade's joy-riding spree ended in disaster for Sarah)

Nick (Corrie) and Nick (Home and Away), perfect long-lost brothers, after all the resemblance is striking. Both have also left their homes in pursuit of a better life elsewhere. (Nick Tilsley's trip to Canada and the other Nick's departure for the city to follow his acting career.)

Vera (Corrie) and Mo (EE) both highly opinionated and prone to making the lives of those sharing their homes, living hell.

Anyway, those are some ideas which sprung to mind for me.. I'm sure others have better suggestions..

charity(emmerdale ) and belinda (EE)-both working class but aspire to high living and think they're above their backgrounds.

Mmm, perhaps Kat (EE) and Karen (Corrie) both hard tarts with hearts of gold underneath, from unstable family backgrounds of some sort, with no real grandioso aspirations other than to be loved and feel safe with their man. (although Karen is a tad too mercenary for Kat but that could be seen as a flaw that they both could have a giggle about!)

Yeah! That crossed my mind too, as did Lynne (EE) and Karen, maybe just because they look somewhat similar too.
