Authentic pizza bases
Where can I purchase them, not the supermarket carboard bases.
Bases like you would get from a proper pizza establishment. |

Make a dough?
You can get some mixes that you just add water to. |

Two hours??? What the hell are you doing??? I think it takes me (including kneading the dough) around 1/2 hour start to finish. That's including 15-20 mins in oven... Buy the ready mix packets. |

It takes two hours to prove the yeast. Just having a look on the back of my Sainsbury's Pizza ready mix: Ingredients Wheat Flour, Hydrogonated and Non Hydrogonated Oils, Yeast, Dexrtose & Salt... That's it, no E numbers, No MSG (which I am allergic to)... I approve of this and I am Italian.....That's got to count for something here....

Just go to any pizza house or Italian restaurant that makes their own and ask for a lump of their dough. They'll either give you some or charge you a couple of quid.
Admittedly i've only ever done this in the States but I can't see why you couldn't do it over here? |

It takes about 1 hour to proof the dough. It takes another couple of minutes to knock back and need the dough again. It takes a couple of minutes to roll out the dough into bases. It takes another 30 mins to let the dough re-proof It takes between 5-20 mins to cook the pizza - depending on size/thickness of base and the cooking method. |
