amid rumers of the culling of one of Coro's high profile characters I have the Ideal candidate - Greasy Dev Alahan. This notorious Bryl cream monkey has wanted to leave the soap for some time in dramatic style (recently won the lottery in real life and is sick of those pesky female stalkers!). I reakon he is topped by his psycho spouse to be, probably in a driving incident - we all know that she is an absolute loony behind the wheel - leaving her open to take over all of his business interests (itself providing oodles of storyline opportunities!). All just idle speculation but he does want to leave the soap. No great loss.

Cor - i wish they would kill him off. He makes my skin crawl the minute he comes on the screen. How Maya can kiss him ill never know

I think Dev is a good character!

Yes, he's beyond ugly and can't act! I sometimes wonder if he's just taking the piss the way he delivers/throws away the lines. Creepy, hideous and vomit-worthy, hope they kill him off. He should be struck by lightning outside the Rover's and die in agony.

He is not a bad person. Look at the present he gave to Tyronne and his concern about the dog

He's a decent person. I just never want to see him in a vest again.

I also think he is a decent person (i think he is the best character on the street) but he doesnt want to be in coro anymore, his contract was till the end of the year though (i think)!! So wining the lottery has boosted him into quitting even more.

Another person who is in the spot light for this Death is Nick but I think he is not a high-profile character as he only came back not so long ago. He first went to have a singing career but this failed so I can't see him leaving as he wants to stay as long as possible.

Archie comes back as well to do the funeral!!

I dont like Dev! I dont like the way he shouts out his lines REALLY LOUDLY and the way he calls every girl DARLING. Sleazy!!!

Plus he got it on with Dreary!! Nuff said realy.

Mind you it was quite funny when he come bac from india and he had rediscovered himself and he had on hippy-ish clothes and more facial hair. Why did he stop all that!

I think it will be nick who dies. He wins the vote for the most wooden actor and these days he hardly has anything to do...apart from be a mummies boy.

Maybe Emily will go...or Betty?! What do they do these days. Betty has threatened to leave the pub about 10 times and each time gentle persuausion brings her back....."what will we do without betty's hotpots?". The Rovers must be the pub with the least staff ever...with the highest combined age.

come on! dev was the other half of one of the funniest storylines ever - sh@gging dreary rashid! that was just the funniest when after the deed she was laid with her head on his cheat daydreaming and he just looked mortified at himself and the situation

maybe the amount of hairgel he uses could melt, run into his eyes and he stumbles onto the cobbles in a panic only to be hit by a speeding redcar....driven of course by the demonic maya!!
