'Alison Hammond, 28, still lives in her native Birmingham and is currently dating boyfriend Nordine, who she met when he was in the audience at one of her shows. She began her media career with an eight-year stint at the Central Junior Television Workshop, during which time she appeared in Boon and Chalkface. Alison’s biggest claim to fame is her participation in the third series of Big Brother. More recently she has appeared in Celebrity Fit Club and as a roving reporter for This Morning. She can be seen as Nina Simone in Stars in Their Eyes Celebrity Special on Saturday, April 24.
WHAT ITEM DO YOU PRIZE MOST IN YOUR HOME AND WHY?
“My treadmill. It’s helped me lose nearly three stone. It’s the only exercise equipment I’ve got that has really helped me shed the weight. I use it first thing in the morning and last thing at night. I know that’s rather sad to admit, but I can’t help it. I’ve also got a boomerang I’m in love with. I’ve got a didgeridoo as well that I picked up on my travels, but I can’t play it. I need lessons from Rolf Harris! I like to buy things as souvenirs, to help me remember where I’ve been.” ...'
