Bit of a strange one is this but.. is there any way that I can use my Bluetooth head set in conjunction with a land line unit?

I know there are dect and plantronic headsets available but id like to be able to keep with one unit instead of having to swap over etc.

If your landline has bluetooth enabled, I dont see why this is not possible.

Are you intending on walking aronud the house with a bluetooth headset on you ? That would look amusing.

If you modem supports voice communication then you could use your PC as a phone and get a Bluetooth dongle for it. That would be a cheaper way of doing it, but not as good as a BT enabled land line phone.
