Yes, quite a few.
Most recent being The Joy Formidable, hadn't heard of them before someone posted something about them on here.
Edit - thinking about it, finding out about new music is actually the only real reason I come to this forum at all.

Probs Kesha. I mean i discovered Tik Tok by myself but i didn't know she was going solo until this site.
Not really as I only go into threads about artists I know, although I surpose it got me to listen to Ke$ha's album but that was because I knew who she was anyway.

Interesting. I've got into Ke$ha & Jay - Z as well as paramore.
Ke$ha. Never had a clue who she was but there was a big long thread about her 'TiK ToK' single ages ago and eventually I decided to check her out and loved her. 
Plus Owl City. Didn't have a clue about them until I read here they were a "shock" #1 in America, checked them out and now I have their album.

Yes a few years ago. I was afetr something new and was told to check out Josh Ritter and Missy Higgins. I now eagerly await new albums from them. Josh has one out 2 after my birthday, not sure about Missy. But certainly those two thanks to DS.
