I'm really pleased it's coming to a massive head like this, because the whole thing has been tedious nearly all the time until the last couple of episodes where things are finally building up. It's funny, because the other day when hearing about a shotgun incident, I hoped there would be a commotion and Andy would shoot Katie by accident. But Jack is just as good...
It's a great dramatic end, and almost makes up for the rest of this storyline going on during the last six months..

Nice to see Jack and Andy getting some central attention again, and both are excellent actors, far far better than Robert if you ask me...

Of course, we'll no doubt be dealing with MANY more "Robuurrrrrrrr"'s from Katie before it's all done with, more's the pity

Its been a decent storyline, im glad its coming to and end, and robert is getting on my nerves now, lol.

Yeh I like that ending, it is a massive massive betrayal and Katie is such a cow and Robert always was a scumbag. Poor ickle Victoria I watched tonite and I thought it was a very good episode. Loved when Jack punched Robert lol

I must admit, I don't rate Robert as an actor at ALL. I find him very unconvincing and the weakest link in the entire storyline...

Someone like the guy who played Aiden in Corrie did the "young bad boy" thing much much better...

What is it with Andy and critically injuring his parents?

i think Jack was way over the top in his reaction last night. i can understand him being angry about what Robert did to Victoria, but really, if Katie decides to cheat on her husband it's got nothing to do with Jack and he should mind his own. I'm surprised he didn't ground the pair of them and write a note to Katie's dad!

I think Jack is right to get involved. Robert frightened the life out of Victoria and Andy is his son. How could he sit idly by?

Precisely. You have an affair with your sibling's wife/husband and the parent of the two finds out and says, "Oh okay. None of my business. Carry on."? NOT likely somehow...

He was not OTT, you're forgetting the fact that he had the hump about Robert threatening Victoria and causing her to not talk for a week.

I understand him wallumping Robert due to his menacing and threatening behaviour (i would of done more than that to him) - but then to call Katie over and shout at them both !!!

Surely he should of told Robert to keep away from Katie ... and stop trying to wreck her marriage (thats normally) but to drag Katie from the pub and shout at them both till she cried .... thats a bit OTT in my eyes.

They have done something very wrong, but they are adults - not kids. Shouting at them like children pathetic.

He wanted to know what was going on...and to him they ARE still kids in a way. His son was possibly being cheated on by his wife with his brother...of course he wants to speak to her! Many parents would do the same and fly off the handle when their own kid is potentially being betrayed, especially by their own sibling, resulting in plenty of hurt. Then when you throw Victoria into the equation...totally normal reaction a father would have. I thought it was very realistic and believable...

As i said ' i can understand him being angry about what Robert did to Victoria' but that was not his main point last night. It was all about Katie and Robert, which is ridiculous as Katie and Andy's marriage has nothing to do with him. Would you expect your father to get involved in your marriage and treat you like a 5 year old?

Ah he as right! Good ould Jack. Robert's had a hiding coming to him and threatening poor ickle Victoria after she caught him in the act with Katie, that is low. And you forget, Katie only just married Andy six weeks ago! And she's snogging his brother. I think my mum would have something to say about that and if that were me with my brother's wife, I reckon I'd a good talkin to if not a punch in the face lol I think Jack was also more angry that it was his own son who caused his sister to stop talking and frightening them all to death wondering wat had happened to her.

If my parents got involved in my marriage without me asking for it i wouldnt be happy.

Its none of there business if im having problems. The problems would be for me and said hubby to sort out ... unless i asked for their assistance.

I can't believe how pathetic Katie is! If my partner's dad spoke to me like that, i wouldn't be sniveling and cowering, i'd bloody well tell him to mind his own business. It's no wonder she's being treated like a child really...and it was nice to see Robert standing up for her and protecting her as well.

Erm, but if you were sleeping with your hubby's brother...well sorry, I'd find it weird for a parent NOT to get involved. At the end of the day it's up to you to sort it out, but parents will naturally intervene especially if they care, that's what they DO. To sit back and do nothing while their own kid is being cheated on and end up hurt...I couldn't do that myself either.

i don't think bullying Andy's wife and reducing her to tears, then going round and telling Andy without having any of the facts straight is a particularly sensible way of preventing him from getting hurt.

If i were in that situation i'd be totally embarrased if my parent was in fighting my battles for me!

Whatever Jack feels, Robert has never had any loyalty to Andy as a brother and that's always been obvious. It was always fairly obvious that Rober would try it on with whoever Andy was with because what ever Andy had, Robert always wanted to spoil, so why Jack was surprised is beyond me.

The trouble is, they're both very young and he does see them as children. Until recently they both lived under his roof, and he was in effect acting as guardian to Katie.

you don't understand, Andy is a farmer, this sort of monkey business can seriously endanger the farm.
Also he wanted to hear katie's side of the story as he knows Robert is always lying.

i'd hate it even more if i was the one being cheated on, i mean how embarassing it should happen at all, but the last person you want meddling in your relationship is your parent! You know that even if you decide to forgive the person, the paren't gonna be off with them forever and make it really difficult for you both. It's just the sort of thing Pauline in EE gets on my nerves by doing!

And how can Katie having an affair endanger the farm? unless she gives her std to the sheep?

Well he didn't say anything to Andy, hence getting Katie's side first. And who said anything about sensible? Parents (and people in general) do these sort of things! You can't have everything perfect in a soap where people always sort out their own problems, because it doesn't always happen like that. I would not like my parents doing it either, nor would anyone, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised! The fact is he has more of a right to get involved when it's his two kids, who are still young anyway AND you bring in the Victoria situation. Robert his own kid is doing a terrible thing to his brother...so why shouldn't Jack have a go? It's a protective nature and he's bound to be upset and angry at both him and Katie.

And I don't think Jack has any idea just how much of a creep Robert is, and always thought Katie was madly in love with Andy (remember that entire thing in 2002 of them getting together?). It's daft to say he shouldn't be surprised...
