I have defended Sharron in the past. But I think that its her time to go.

Excuse me? Are people not allowed to change their opinion of someone then? Should we ask your opinion first if we wish to do so?

Maybe you'd like to point who defended her to others as well? Can you direct us to the posts?

Until tonight I couldn't stand Emily. But something has clicked in. She seemed a lot more positive. I posted this on another thread about Sharron .I think she went on the programme to boost her profile, but it kind of back fired as there is so much work that needs to go into it and she cant cope. I think they get paid the same whether they last a week or the whole duration. That is why I think people like Emily, Danny and Daniella who have not had much exposure should last out longer. Infact I cant help noticing how those three are really enjoying the experience even though Danny and Emily are not always given positive feedback. Despite Nikkis bad scoring of Danny, he was a gentleman and did not argue back.

Its as if Sharron is coming up with excuses to get out of having to show that she can't hack it, she might be 47 but she is a sportswoman and knows whats involved in taking on something like DOI, perhaps celebrity "Come knit with me" might be more suited to her....but then that might hurt her shoulder!

Is there not a case to be slightly critical of J&C for not taking into account the injuries inherited from her sporting career?

Surely they could have choreographed a routine to accommodate her limitations.

I've always doubted that Sharron could make the latter stages - but the lady knows her body better than anyone else.

That was my point - she alienated those who stuck up for her.

But feel free to ask my permission before talking to me like I'm something you just trod on.

Where have I spoken to you like something you've just trod on?

If I misunderstood the context of your post then I apologise.

The very best sporting stars perform through their injuries. Yes, cortisone is painful (I have had cortisone injections in my lower spine and went back to work) - but non-sporting celebs have had injuries during this show and have never complained like this so-called athlete. Time to go Sharon.

I think this is it exactly - she thought she would raise her profile, and her PA fees, get a bit of "National Treasure" status and show people how amazing she looks for her age.

Unfortunately, looks were never going to be enough for this show. Personality, humour and likeability are much more important. I think that is one of the reasons she has never got as much work as she probably should have. She just isn't very likeable.

Please can we get rid off her tonight????”

I think your invoking notions of attitude and disrespect are somewhat ironic given the venom of your comments and language used about Sharron, who as we all know, has injuries that make it difficult, even impossible, for her to do certain moves.

She has had a tough time throughout the competition, yet has always seemed to me to cope well, with great determination to carry on and overcome negativity and sometimes real prejudice and nastiness.

Anyone who has injuries that require cortisone injections deserves our understanding, sympathy and respect.

If Sharron changed the music without telling T&D, who coreographed the new routine?

Yes, I have had several in my ribs and it was agony.

But then, I would never apply to do something like DOI!

I can't warm to her, and Chris and Jayne looked very annoyed about her changing the song (and so they should - I bet they put a lot of time and effort into that routine).

I get the impression she wants to leave, and she probably will tonight.

I dislike Sharron's attitude too. I liked her at first and championed her, but I think she could have given the uptempo routine a go, I agree with Chris I think she was just playing safe. It was like quitting, and I would have thought that Olympic athletes don't quit?

I hope she goes tonight. Everyone else is clearly enjoying the whole experience far more than she is. Will be sorry to see the lovely Pavel leave though, what a good guy he is.

She knew the state that swimming had left her body in and she knew what she was taking on with doing DOI, she can't hack it and God don't we all know about it!

A tough time?! Suzanne Shaw skated with a chipped ankle! I don't ever remember her whinging about it though, she just got on with it. They all have injuries, but they just get on with it. Sharron doesn't, she moans and complains.

She must have realised when she signed up to the show that it wasn't going to be easy and that it would be tough physically and emotionally.

I don't think she copes well with the critcism as well. In fact she frequently looks highly offended when someone critcises her. I know Jason has been overly harsh with her, but he's also been harsh to Kieron who gets on with it.

I must admit, I missed the VT prior to Sharron's performance and only heard what she had to say afterwards about not being able to perform faster routines. So I missed all the controversy about changing the song etc and have no idea what J&C's views were.

Sharron has my sympathies. But at this stage, the couples can't just do slow routines. I think her time has come to leave

Well I know she's a sooperdooper athlete and big respect to what she's done in her career, and she has a great physique specially for a woman her age, but she always seems so miserable, and woe betide anyone who tells her what to do.

Right down to her make-up. She wears that copper coloured eye shadow with every outfit whether it goes or not, probably because she has blue eyes and she once read that wearing that colour makes blue eyes 'pop'.

And while I'm ranting about hair and make-up, who on earth is styling the hair this season? Nearly every style looks like an explosion in a mattress factory, else it's pinned up into a big sausage roll.

Didn't Chris injure his shoulder just before the start of series 4?

Lol you don't know much about Jayne and Chris then. They have both had awful injuries throughout their career. Jayne broke her shoulder once, and she also put her blade though his hand almost severing it off.

All sports people have horrible injuries at times.
