Well they could have been friends earlier on in her career, when they were all competing. I'm still friends with some of my school friends, without knowing all the details of their new jobs

Loads of people who enter reality shows say this. But the truth is the majority have.

Torvell and Dean were obviously upset about it but we all know DoI is a show which raises the profile of the stars who appear on it, they are not trying to become professional dancers. It is ONLY a show and why should any competitor risk permanent damage to themselves just to entertain us!!! It takes YEARS to become a professional ice skater and I think Sharron was right to say that the routine was too complicated for her to do properly. The show producers must have known about her sport injuries because each and every member of the show has to be insured so they have to pass a medical before they are booked for the show. Some of the routines like the head banger are incredible dangerous and if injured a competitor could end up in a wheelchair or worse!!”

Then she should have discussed it with Jayne and Chris and not taken the decision upon herself. Jayne and Chris would probably have been quite receptive had she told them of her concerns but, no, she took the matter into her own hands without consulting anyone!!

Just as well they don't all alter the programmes given to them each week. Even Heather Mills didn't do that although she had concerns about whether her artificial limb could cope with some of the moves required. She still attempted it.

I know that the VTs are heavily edited according to the producers' requirements but we were given the distinct impression that Sharron and Pavel changed the music without consulting with anyone or even having the courtesy to inform Chris and Jayne. Changing the music means getting the rights to use the new song, it probably means different lighting and costumes, it probably affected the running order, it might even have meant someone else's routine had to be changed if there were too many slow numbers. It wasn't the fact that they changed the song that bothered me so much as the way they seemed to go about it.

To me, it seemed that Sharron rejected the song even before she even knew what the choreography was going to be. A number of contestants have had problems with the music choices during the series but they all do their best with them. I'm not for one moment underestimating Sharron's problems with her shoulder. I certainly wouldn't want her to become permanently injured and I doubt anyone on DOI wants that either. However (and I'm not a dancer or a skater so, in my ignorance, I could be talking a load of rubbish here) I don't understand how the tempo of the routine can affect her shoulder. The particular moves, of course. The style of routine, if it's something where you're bouncing around throughout like a jive, also of course. But whether the song is fast or slow? I just don't get that. If there are any dancers and/or skaters on DS who don't mind explaining, I'd really appreciate it.

I expect Pavel did get more enjoyment out of partnering Jess last year.

It's Andrei I feel sorry for - voted off first week for 2 years in a row - that has to hurt!

I'd like to see Andrei and Fred partnered with stronger female skaters if they come back next year (certainly hope they do) as Fred has also had his fair share of duds with That Burley Woman, Sarah Greene, and to some extent, Emily (I think Melinda was a better skater than Emily)

Not the impression I got from watching him & Sharron on This Morning. He was complicit with Sharron on the decision to change the music.
