Reading some comments on the forum tonight I was wondering

Do T&D favor some celebs over others with their choice of moves and music for them?

We know that an emotional or uplifting piece of music can go a lon way to making the ice dance seem much better than it is and that 'show off' moves can make an ice dance seem better than it is

so, do they favor some over others?

yes I think. They always give Danny crap songs. Not because they dont like him, its Frankie they are not so keen on.

I think its only natural for them to prefer working with the ones who try hard and want to do well, where as the ones who can't be arsed and complain all the time would get on their nerves.

They seem to be being a bit more critical of their performances than they used to!

They seem to have fun with Kieron, his routines are always great.

I think its pretty clear they enjoy choreographing for Hayley, Daniella and Kieron. But I think that's because they can be fairly inventive, fun, and different with them, and they know they have the personality and commitment to pull it off.

Certainly, I don't think they were fans of Sharron by the end!

Its chicken and egg isn't it. Appropriate routines would mean that the music and choregraphy ought to go to who can perform it and those who can't use it and would look even weaker trying get something simpler. Beyond that though there may only be so many great routines and some that they think are great may not work or prove too difficult.

Definitely. I think Danny always seems to draw the short straw when it comes to choreography - tonight's was the worst of the lot. I sometimes think Keiran could be choreographed better too - I think if they slowed him down a bit he'd be better for it.

Ive seen quite a few comments that he has had crap music and moves

maybe they do enjoy choreographing for Daniella, Hayley and Kieron and maybe they would enjoy doing the same for the others if the gave them good music that the others could enjoy and feel better performing to

Danny tries really hard, and never seems to complain. He's been to ballet training even. I'm a serial underdog supporter though.
He's been on second, third, third and fourth, and given 17.0 every week.

I'm not convinced T&D do all the choreography anyway.

I think they surely have favourites.

I have a feeling that they choose the music and choreograph the showstopper moves for each couple then leave the pro (and Karen) to work up the rest of the routine as they know the strengths and weaknesses better.

Maybe they do it all in the latter stages of the competition when there are only a few couples left.

I've been wondering this for a while, certainly in this series there seem to be a lot of politics going on backstage. Danny's routines seem a bit mundane, but he skates them well and as such his marks seem unfairly low, especially the ones from Nicky "notice me!!" Slater. A shame, as he seems genuinely puzzled as to what he's doing wrong

Oh they'll no doubt have a few people to help them, and obviously the producers will have some input, especially in regards to music. But I'm sure they're in charge of it all, and will have the final say over routines.
