Yep - he won me over tonight - a lovely performance and those rotational lifts are great.

Maria looked like she enjoyed it, too.

I enjoyed the performance tonight....but still doesn't top Hayley I'm afraid.

It was just another pretty dull skate from Gary. Fairly indistinguishable from every other one he's done. I mean, it wasn't bad, it was just... meh. :yawn:

Still, each to their own opinion, and all that!

I would have put Gary second behind Hayley - I really enjoyed that performance.

I'm afraid i didn't see Gary's improved performance. Same as previous weeks for me good skater but dull performance.

At least he didn't have the pasted on smile as in previous weeks. A bit of facial expression goes a long way!

I think that Gary is the most fluent of the male dancers. He will be the dark horse.

I had said last week I wanted to see him get a more sombre routine as I believed it would make him feel less self-conscious. It seems to have done the trick.

Was he third on the leader board as that's where i would've placed him. His routine was enjoyable and possibly his best yet but still not as good as Daniella or Hayley.

Gary skates well and looks really nice on the ice and I hope he can keep improving and be there until the end!

He was much better this week, I hope he can keep it up for the rest of the series!

Agree, I really enjoyed his skate this week. He looked gorgeous in that colour too. He is the best male skater , although I think Kieron is catching him up with that now

I also enjoyed Gary's performance last night. Perhaps his injury took his mind off his usual performance confidence issues. Or I mistook that grimace of pain for an expression of feeling and 'getting into character'!

Nice not to hear him going on about how shy he is and just getting on with it. Usually I switch off when he's on the ice, but my attention was really held this time. I think he's the strongest male skater.

I'm glad most agree, I thought it could be just me being extremely biased.

I think they are improving cos he was a bit of a dullard. I could easily get bored with his routines but this was good and his relationship with Maria is good too.

But his comments are still always that it was "nice". He needs to get some big lifts in and start swaggering round the place a bit but I guess it's just not in his character any more.

Wasn't he at one time the jack the lad who kept the night clubs going some time back? He wants to get some of that back (even if it's only for the 3 minutes he's on the ice).

He just can't act on the ice - WHY NOT?

The skates go in all the right places but it might have been a robot.

For a normal person it poor, for an actor in inexcusable.

Everyone else can at least feel and project the song they are doing.
