Ok so she can be a bit grumpy and headstrong but was Sharron favourite to be voted off no matter how well she skated because she'd dared to go against Jayne & Chris?

Their faces, especially Jayne's was like thunder. And Sharron deliberately seemed to thank everybody for the experience EXCEPT Jayne & Chris. So despite her saying they were old friends and of course she thanked them it was only because Philip Schofield prompted her to thank them.

It's like everybody on the judging panel and the presenters and everyone on the production team would be against her and no matter who the public voted she would have to go because she dared to go against the mighty J & C.

Not sure if anyone agrees but I felt the writing was on the wall the minute she said "I haven't spoken to J & C since monday."

I bet they were livid! Off with her head! Well off the show anyway.

Ok so she's been in the bottom 2 before and she wasn't great - but then neither was Emily. But everyone else does as they're told don't they? Danny didn't like his music either but he didn't go against the tide.

Oh and I just wanted to say I felt sorry for Pavel cos he's lovely and without Sharron's old injury problems they probably were in with a chance. No-one should underestimate what old injuries she has and how they affect her. I think she did the best of what she could considering.

Well Pavel was robbed of the chance to do his Bolero and get at least runner-up glory with Jess last year.

Not sure about winning it - but they certainly deserved to skate Bolero last year!

I was a MASSIVE Donal fan and was happy he beat Jess but still feel she was robbed. If you get me.

I think sharron gave it her best shot but as the weeks passed she was getting left behind, the right time for her to go.

Absolutely agree....as soon as they showed that VT Sharron may as well not have bothered skating. Not that I'm complaining, she was clearly the worst on the night. If she had so many long standing injuries why did she agree to do the show? Surely she must have had half an idea that Dancing on Ice would involve some "arm waving" and "lifting by the shoulders"...has she ever watched Ice Dancing before??

I think her departure was way overdue. She came across very arrogant from day one for me, no personality at all.

It may be interesting to hear her viewpoint on the Sharon's blog page where she explains what happened from her point of view rather than the one we were given on the VT from the production & presenting staff.

Sharron said her friends that saw the VT felt she was out as soon as it had run, and so did she when she watched it back.

I have to admit that as soon as I watched it I was sure she was for the chop, but in all fairness the routine wasn't much to write home about anyway, so I never felt she was unfairly robbed.

I thought about it and decided that if Sharron had been set that routine originally, and performed it as she did on Sunday, she'd still have been voted off. The controversy just meant she went with a nasty taste in her mouth.

I agree, I think she'd reached the limits of what she could achieve with her skating what with her injuries and all, it's just a shame she had to leave under a cloud. Poor Sharron

On Monday Sharron and Pavel were on This Morning. She said she had never really watched the show before and thought there would be more skating involved and not as much dancing. Philip said 'Even though it's called 'Dancing On Ice' She said she still expected more actual skating.

If I was offered the chance to do DOI I'd find out what it involved first before signing up for it

... and went on to say 'like at the Olympics', which I took to mean she thought there would be more focus on the technical side of actually doing the intricate footwork rather than the big 'wow' moves and 'presenting' etc.

I personally feel that there is an element of truth in Sharron's blog. Reality TV is, after all known for manipulation *cough* XF / SCD */cough* and I don't think that DoI is as bad as most in this respect. But my over riding feeling is that she wasn't going to progress and we have reached the stage whereby everyone else is better, so it was her time to go.

Probavly yes as her dancing was not progressing and quite frankly even before this week she did come across as a moaning minnie. It is difficult to balance being assertive as opposed to being stroppy on reality TV and I think Sharron certainly failed in this respect.

Purely on form it was probably a fair bet that Sharon was going but it may have been the final nail in her coffin.
Where she went wrong was not appearing pleading and pathetic,perhaps trying the given routine once more before falling and appearing to be in agony.A few tears and hey presto,guaranteed sympathy vote

Have to agree about poor old Pav' last year.I was delighted to see Donal find the ice-dancer in him given where he was coming from,but Jess should have been in the final two.

Sharron was not the most gifted skater but she did give it her best shot. Yes - she was the right person to go BUT I didn't like the way she went.

She has been subjected to bullying from Jason Gardiner and because she stood up to Torville and Dean it appeared high treason was committed because she dared to ask that the routine be changed for health reasons otherwise she would have to withdraw from the competition. Grudgingly it was agreed and Production decided to do a hatchet job on her. Not only that - Jason Gardiner and Philip Schofield posted nasty comments on Twitter and Torville and Dean opted to behave in a precious fashion and that stupid Emma Bunton was extremely patronising saying if Sharron was there next week she strongly advised that she listen to the sainted pair - condescending little moo. By that remark Bunton showed she didn't have a clue about skating or sports injuries. At the end of the show Jason Gardiner was childish and graceless enough to refuse to shake hands which is the custom and then said it was because she disrespected Torville and Dean. What a joke and this from a man who does nothing but disrespect the skaters, fellow judges, Holly and the audience. Christopher and Jayne are not the only people to have won sporting medals - they only won one Olympic Gold Medal whereas some people have won 5 but to witness the fawning and sycophantic behaviour around them you would think they were even higher than God.
