Smoked Mackerel Recipes
Hi guys,
I have some smoked mackerel boneless strips left from when I made some pate a few weeks ago. Just wondering if anybody had any recipes that I could use them in for dinner tomorrow? I was thinking maybe fish cakes with chips and aoli? Thanks in advance! |

Chop up a small onion and a deseeded red pepper very finely.
Mix it with the mackerel and two teaspoons of sugar, a tablespoon of sweet soy sauce (preferably Indonesian kecap) and a tablespoon of vinegar. Delicious on sandwiches or toast. Or as a starter with some quartered hard boiled eggs. |

Fish cakes sound delicious. Alternatively, what about a kedgeree, but with smoked mackerel instead of smoked haddock?
