WHY 90% on the news articles you put up there are to do with Eastenders? Corrie gets a few but a lot less, and why do you hardly ever put any Emmerdale ones there? It's not as if it's lacking viewers...
In The Sun yesterday it revealed a very big part of an Emmerdale story, the result of which involves someone getting shot, but that was never put up. Yet today Dot's cancer story goes up without question (not that I'm saying it doesn't deserve to).

But it just seems that even the smallest Eastenders related news gets put up whilst Emmerdale especially is rarely there at all, even when it's something massive...

It just annoys me why they put Eastenders articles up there so much over other soaps...is this place run by the BBC or something?

Maybe they should divide the news section into seperate parts for each soap, like with the spoilers...

Alan you bloody fool how stupid are you. Perhaps it is because Emmerdale is perceived as a smaller soap. Or perhaps there is a bias toward Enders because it is a southern soap. Perhaps it is because DS have insiders at Easties that get them the news but by the time they have Emmerdale news it is already in the mainstream press so they see little point. Perhaps DS do have an undercover spy in Emmerdale but by the time they manage to relay the information out of Yorkshire via smoke signals, flags and pigeons the news is out of date .... perhaps, perhaps, perhaps .....

i think it's coz Emmerdale doesn't rely so much on spoilers to get an audience, (and it's not as popular as EE or Corrie, so tabloids aren't as interested) therefore they don't leak so much, so DS doesn't have anything to put up there!

I just gave an example about the shooting, that was in yesterday's Sun but it's not on here. Dot's cancer is, and that was in today's Sun (they themselves got the story from it). I'm not saying there should AS MANY articles as Corrie and Eastenders, for the reasons you gave about tabloids picking up on them less, but there should be far more without question. You do still get many Emmerdale stories featured in the press, the example I gave is a massive story itself, so I don't see there's any reason not to.

And Emmerdale gets between 8 and 10 million viewers...a little behind the other two, but still very very popular...

Then again there was an article in toadys sun about Debbie McSlackister of the Bill fame having a realtionship with the new gay chrstian IC2 policeman and did it get mentioned in the new section. Did it hell. EE is the coooooooooool programme so thats why it gets the most news and lets face it they need all the help they can get

Eastenders gets more threads at the moment becuase its the most popular. Even when it goes through a bad patch with storylines, it still has more threads than any other soap.
Emerdale is a decent soap but is seen a second rate soap compared to eastenders and corrination street. But have you noticed that lately Emerdale has better stoylines than EEs and Corrination street. And yet they still get more threads and are more tlaked about in the press. this is because its seen (as i said before) as a second rate soap.
But because the characters of Eastenders are more popular with the press on screen and especially off screen Eastenders gets more publicity than the others. Although i think Eastenders is better than most soaps i think what you say is true.

Better than Crossroads, Home and away, neighbours maybe but certainly not a patch on Corrie or Emmerdale which are both far more realistic than Deadenders
