Is this still available anywhere. I've seen other Vesta ready meals recently but not this one. Has anyone seen it in a major supermarket chain?

Who makes Vesta ready meals these days?

Still available sometimes at Poundland, so I am led to believe.

Wouldn't want one myself, but each to their own.

I'd buy it if I found it, I love them. 20 minutes and it fills you up.

I used to like the Vesta Chow Mein.........used to make that about once a week when i was a student

You got crispy noodles with it !...............

That was 30 years ago, I guess it was the nutritional equivalent of a pot noodle, which came in a bit later and probably took Vesta's market away...........

I haven't seen them for years...........

What! We always buy them, Beef curry, Paella or Chow Mein. Tesco do the Chow Mein and Asda do the other two. They were the only instant meal in the 60s and are very nostalgic. I always add extra rice though.

Actually the curry is very salty and the meat tastes like cubes of god-knows-what!

But when you emptied the sachet of noodles into the frying pan there was always one that refused to crisp up and just sat there turning black...............

I haven't had them since I was a child but I loved them, then, especially the beef curry. I'm not sure what I'd make of them now.

My treat when my husband went away for a night on business was a Vesta Chow Mein followed by butterscotch angel delight . Nutritionally bankrupt but I enjoyed it.

These days he is retired so no more nights away and, anyway, I don't seem to be able to find the Vesta Chow Mein any more .

My local CostCutters sells Vesta meals still. Never tried one myself, but they still make them.

Yes according to the manufacturers it's the only one of the big supermarket groups that does.

Based on the magic persuasive powers of DS, I bought a Vesta beef risotto today.
Never had one before and I must say it looks rather suspect, but in the interests of internetty knowledge, I'll have it tomorrow and let you know how I get on

I used to love a Beef Risotto, especially when I added a little more rice and a dash of tomato puree. As someone else said, it might be nutrionally bankrupt but it tasted good and so easy to eat - grab a spoon and you didn't even need to take your eyes off the telly!

I'm not a fan of Morrisons but maybe I'll have to head in there to grab a couple of these beauties.

Looks like my beloved Vesta Beef Risotto has been discontinued. Someone on the Facebook page told me that last week.
A couple of weeks ago I found a group of Morrisons buyers, hanging around in the aisle that contained the Vesta meals, only Chow Mein was on the shelves. I asked them why no Beef Risotto ? They said :- "We were just talking about that", they promised to try and get some, but thought it may have been discontinued.
Wish I had known this, I would have stocked up.

Yeah, poundshops, home-bargains still get them in (Asda stock them but at twice the price). Think the only varieties on offer these days is Beef Curry, Risotto and Chow Mein.

Edit: forgot about the Paella they still do also.
