Why do women opt for facial plastic surgery that makes them look so much older?

Has anyone had it (not for medical reasons?)?

I look at some celebrities in their 20s/30s who have had it and they look in their 40's.

Do men find the cloned, plastic look attractive?

I don't think women aim to look older by having plastic surgery.

It does not work for everyone but on the other hand it work for demi moore

Plastic surgery makes them look as if they have had plastic surgery, there is no disguising it, so why do it? why not just mature as nature intended?

I would never have anything done, I respect myself too much to be mutilated in the name of youth.

I think plastic surgery often makes people look the same as each other, so someone in their 50s may look in their 40s, but then with the same procedure a woman in her 30s will also look in her 40s.

Agreed. I worded it incorrectly, I don't think they intend to look older but usually end up doing so.

It just doesn't suit some people, especially people we have come to know well before they went under the knife. I think it in a lot of cases defeats the object - any reduction in youthfulness is heavily outweighed by the fact they now look odd.

There are some exceptions though - Sharon Osbourne comes to mind. Though in her case she had already had most of the surgery before she became the household name she would become.

One picture she is well made up and smiling the other she is not. The evidence provided is inconclusive.

Cosmetic surgurey (plastic surgerey is used to repair after accident or illness) is usually not undertaken to look older. I can't think of any case when this would be done.

Cosmetic surgery needs to be subtle to be effective, the problem arises when people have drastic procedures or keep going back for more. They then end up looking more hideous than when they started.
